MMA fans have to be some of the dumbest people in the world. Dana is to be thanked for his efforts early on and condemned for his more recent shortsightedness. Affliction is another bandwagon “I want to dress like a fighter in my overpriced t-shirt” company. I laugh when I see you goons in your affliction and Tapout shirts.

If most of you owned your own ( busniess,) you would go under because you don’t understand that this is what this is. (Business). Without people like “Dana White” most of these guy’s would be fighting in a back yard. (Chump change) I’m not takeing anything away from the fighters. They work hard. (but) They aren’t fighting for free. That makes it (busniess). When you work for a company you want it to be susessfull as possible. The more profit the the company has, the more money there is to be made. If someone I was doing busniess with was opening up to compete with me “I” would do my best to shut them down. TAP THEM OUT!!……..(In a busniess sorta way) Affliction does and will see it the same way……As for me…..I think Dana White has enough busniess sense to stay way out infront of his competition. I hope you feel like you’ve been to school. …..You may now kiss my ring.

I am sure that Dana’s reasoning is petty but this is not something unusual. The NFL only allows its athletes to wear approved sponsor gear during games. So what is different about this? The UFC is within their rights as an organization not to give free publicity to a potentially competing organization.

Don’t get me wrong, I think Dana White is a poor public face for the UFC and MMA in general but I don’t think this particular move is all that outrageous..

Sadly, this story is 100% true. Affliction has been banned. It really hurts the fighters more than anyone because they can’t supplement their income with appearance fee income by wearing the clothing to UFC events.
