The coaches on the show are legit, exceot for ” Krazy Horse who admits he does not train but still has 19 wins. Jermaine Andre has a record of 13 and 9.Roberto Traven won Abu Dhabi.Novell Bell is a Kung Fu artist which can have some benefit in MMA since alot of MMA fighters are more brawler and less chess player. Shonie Carter has a record of 36 and 19, with losses to fighters like the great Pat Miletich and Karo”The Heat”Parisyan. The reason they could not get Rampage I am sure has to do with his UFC contract. Yves is preparing to kick KJ Noons ass. Din had a fight recently, so I am sure he was not available. Also, I have learned when people preface a statement with “This is not racist” a racist statement will be close behind. I am an educated black man, in law school, who happens to like hitting people in the face. ” I AM WHITE”…I wish my race gave me “credit” for school. Yet it does not. I qualified for the same grants that you would have if you applied for them. And if you pay attention to the show you will see that there are more than black fighters. Besides.. if you really feel the things you type while hiding behind a computer screen, why are you watching BLACK Entertainement Televison to began with. Roberto Traven won Abu Dhabi.

Look guys, were missing the point here.This show is a terrible representation of MMA.New fans will get a bad impression of the sport.The show is bad because the show is presented in a half assed manner.The idea is solid, but the focus should be on the fighters.Nothing wrong with using black celebrities, but they went the wrong route by using only hip hop artists.And they could have gotten fighters who were more proven; there are a lot of black fighters out there. Din Thomas could have been a good coach.Or Gideon Ray Yves Edwards is out there also.BET should have done their homework;Zilo has been around, and should know better.

Wow reading this has made me laugh. I have to say if ya wanted black coaches you should have called Maurice Smith OR Quinton Jackson. the guys on there now are ex KUNG FU fighters come on this is MMA that does not apply. Plus MMA is about throwingdown TAP SNAP OR NAP! TECHNIQUE AND SKILL! Race is no issue i dont care who you are or where your from if i lay a right cross on your chin your going down baby!

Traven was Abu Dhabi absolute champ (maybe you’ve never heardof it because the Zuffas didn’t sell it to you). He was also IBJJF mundial absoluto champ

Maywether coaching striking, Traven teaching ground?? Sounds solid to me.

Mutakabbir has a blackbelt in BJJ from Jacare Cavalcante as well as many other martial arts. I’ve Trained with both and I just happen to be a “Cracker”.

The reason you may feel this way is because BET first 2 episodes really misrepresents the Man and I’m sure it does the same for other on the show. Abdul Mutabakkir is unknown and unproven.

Guy your post show just how little you know about African american martial artist, Abdul Mutabakkir was one of the first Kung fu guys to fight in a no holds bar full contact open style match back in N.Y.C. in the 70s. Guy just do your research. Only thing I will say is Mr. Mutakabbir is pro-black is the feeling I got when I met him. Mr. Bell when I visit his classes in Harlem was more friendly and did not care about race.

The Iron Ring is depsressing.

I wanted to see good athletes, new fighters I had never seen before, I wanted to see real MMA, but instead what was shown was guys that have nothing to do with MMA managing teams and some “fighters” that look like TMA rejects.

I didn’t like the packaging/marketing for TUF, but at least you got some real fighters and the focus was always on them not anybody else. Why do we need Ludacris’ and Dipset’s views on fighting? What do they have to possibly say about fighting that could be anywhere close to reality?

If they absolutely needed somebody black to coach, couldn’t they have called Quinton Jackson, Rhadi Ferguson, Yves Edwards, Mike VanArsdale, Kevin Randleman, Kevin Jackson, Darrell Gholar, Lloyd Irvin, Tyrone Glover, Din Thomas, Marvin Eastman, Houston Alexander, Melvin Guillard, Reggie Orr, Mike McDonald, etc?

And if they wanted only black fighters, couldn’t they call up any one of those guys and find somebody?

Shonie is good. Andre is good. Traven is good.

Novell Bell is a total fraud. Abdul Mutabakkir is unknown and unproven. And Crazy Horse? He’s a legit fighter, but that man should not be coaching anyone.

Why doesn’t anyone say anything to the black guy when he makes a string of racist statements. If we are just stating facts then lets do it. Blacks attend college less than whites, asians, indians, etc. Is this because they are poor or just stupid? Since it is easier for blacks to get grants and they get credit for entrance based on the fact that they are black I believe it is more likely that they aren’t intelligent in general. Another fact, if you go to cracktown (crack cocaine) you will find mainly black people. Is this because crackheads are mostly black or is there some other explanation?
