Fight of the Day: Hose vs. Baroni

Here’s the five-round stomp-n’-wheeze from Saturday night’s ICON Sport “To Hell and Back” event, where Kala Kolohe Hose overcame Phil Baroni’s soccer kicks (and breathtaking glam-guido ring entrance) to win the middleweight title.     This is the most pathetic display of MMA I’ve ever seen in my life, on both fighters part. Baroni is an embarassment. Hose should have finished him 20 different times, but they’re both jokes.

    I wouldn’t say it was a pathetic display on both fighters behalf, I’d say that it was pathetic for Baroni to think that he had the stamina to fight for longer than 90 seconds. As for Hose - I think that he could have put him away a couple of times, but its kinda hard to put a person down for good when all they do is try to crawl under the ring ropes. Either way Hose won and it was fun to watch some one be wrong about being “The Best EVA!!!!”

    I’d say Baroni is as Pathetic as Ken Shamrock is now. They should both give it up already.
    Baroni talks to much trash to let himself get beat down like that.
    Hose he is up and coming and just needs more stamina, a little more training should do it.

    Possibly the greatest upset in MMA history? Am I missing something here? From what I’ve heard, though not yet a huge name, Hose was fairly highly regarded. Baroni has never been anything but overrated/the biggest douche in the sport. He made a reasonably big name for himself with his mouth, not his game. I mean, I don’t mind a little hyperbole every now and then, but Christ…”monumental upset”? From now on when I drop a deuce, I’m going to call it “The most stupendous display of bowel dexterity in the storied history of the porcelain throne!”

    Is it just me or does anyone else think that pasting a logo like “Condom Depot” across your ass is a little limp wristed?
