Gerald Harris's 'TUF 7' Blog: Episode 6

("Sic semper tyrannis, bitch!")
Every Thursday morning, Team Rampage member Gerald Harris will be blogging his reactions to each new episode of The Ultimate Fighter 7 on CagePotato.com. Here's what he had to say about last night's ep, in which Jeremy May got his comeuppance and Team Rampage finally pulled out a win.
***
I don’t think too many people were surprised by the punishment dished out by Matt Brown. People ask me about him all the time -- they think he’s a serial killer and mean as hell. To tell you the truth, I thought the same thing, but he’s actually one of the coolest dudes in the house. He opened up a lot about how fighting kept him alive and changed him in a positive way. He earned a lot of respect by doing that and whoopin' ass in practice.
May definitely asked for it, but I gotta give it too him for coming out strong. The only thing that pissed me off is that the admitted to faking the knee injury. Now, if you don’t already know, I’m probably Jeremy’s only friend and I didn’t even know that. A lot of people were cautious of overtraining, but to sandbag is another story. The fight went well — it was all emotion, so they got tired pretty quick. But Brown had the better cardio and weathered the storm, then finished May with a kick to the nose. As bad as some people wanted to see Jeremy lose, I hated to see Team Forrest in control again.
I was hoping that I was picked to fight next, because I heard that Luke said he could beat me. I wasn’t intimidated by anyone on Team Forrest, but I did respect them. Once they said Luke vs. Cramer I got even more pissed. I felt like they were dodging me, but at the same time I felt respected by Forrest and his team. I can’t say much about the Cramer-Zachrich fight, because it looked like a college man getting beat up by a high school boy. Those were probably the two most underestimated fighters in the house. From what I knew, Zachrich trained with a good camp in Ohio and had knockout power. Cramer looked like a model, but fought like a biker. No one thought he was tough, but once we trained with him, I noticed his talent. In the end, I was happy that we had control because Rampage was in a slump and we deserved a win.
NOW WE HAVE CONTROL!!! And everyone wants to fight — C.B., Shultz, and myself. We didn’t pick anyone in particular, but we were ready to go. Especially since we waited so long and had to sit back and watch our teammates lose. Dolce's loss hurt me the most, because he’s my training partner at Team Quest, but after that I didn’t really care about the losses. I was more concerned about team control and how Rampage and his crew were taking it.
Well, I’m gonna keep it short this week — my ADHD is kicking in.
So what happens now? Who would you like to see get beat up next? Drop some comments and let us know...

Matt Herpes Says:
Man, even in defeat Jeremy May was the biggest jerkoff in the world. "He kinda got lucky"...amazing. You notice how Rampage didn't fly into another rage after he lost?
MMA-hole Says:
How about Forrest and his hoarse-ass voice shouting at Matt Brown to get up? He sounded like a dog who just got punched in the nuts. Congrats bro, you're an even more annoying cornerman than Matt Serra.
eric garcia Says:
the show is gay drama drama drama but yall guys are bad ass tho
Blackleg Says:
My opinion of Forrest went up because of his reaction in the corner. He showed more interest in fights than any of the other celebutrainers have. Though it did sound pretty damn funny with his voice cracking like that. My first thought was "Who is the chick that keeps screaming?".
ksgbobo Says:
Jeremy May is such a douche...he wasnt even humble about his loss...just went off saying that if he fought him again that the outcome would be different...how many people say the same thing when they lose...they cant just accept defeat...Im glad he lost...I hate those cocky type bastards...especially ones who sandbag during training...
cw Says:
May seemed to gas - it wasn't just that he had been kneed in the face as Dana White suggested. It also appeared that Herb Dean didn't call out Brown for a few sketchy punches to the back of May's head - but I expect no less from Herb. Brown also up-kicked May several times in the nuts. I don't know if that's illegal though...
Kel Says:
In reference th the Up Kicks, it looked more like Brown was just pushing off. They did not appear to be hard enough to warrant a warning or deduction. Herb Dean just complicates the process.
cw Says:
It's tough with Herb, cos' he has such a sketchy record of bad calls that every time you see something borderline you immediately assume that Herb hasn't noticed and is screwing up. I'll bet he has lunched on his Sylvia/Mir stoppage for years and feels like he can just coast...
Blackleg Says:
cw: I was thinking the same thing but watching the replay I noticed that usually when Brown was doing that May had his foot on Brown's junk so it might have just been a little tit-for-tat.
Brown fox Says:
That May- brown fight sucked ass. Forest was annoying but he was right. Bad boy brown was supposed to go in there and kick May's ass and all he did was a lot of "catch" as Forest put it. He was annoying the shit out of me. I guess he gassed out because of the emotion? I don't get it. It seemed if May had any cardio he would have won.
skidding Says:
I'm going to be a Jeremy May "fan" for a long time. It's a celebration for mankind seeing that douche getting his face beat black and blue.
cw Says:
The fight did suck ass - that's why they put two fights on one show.
kickem Says:
Yeah those fights were sloppy as hell. Did anyone notice that Matt Brown said "The beef is squashed" as they shook hands. He's a cool dude and that's how you settle things - after the fight just be cool. It's kinda hard to shake hands after getting punted in the face like that! Damn
I hope that CB or Harris fight next week! I heard those guys are pretty damn tough
tim sylvia's pussy Says:
that kick delivered to jeremy may's face was classic
Aryan Says:
Jeremy may is an entertaining guy. the vodka thing was awesome. He's good for the show and I think he'll win in a rematch with better conditioning...a douche never the less.
maud Says:
Jeremy May is the epitome of a douche bag. And was so happy, and actually clapping IRL when i saw that faggot get knocked down.
txbudoka Says:
GHH - Thanks for another good blog. While my opinion of May is slanted because of what we've seen I appreciate that you stand up for him even when the rest of the team states in their blogs how much they dislike him.
Shows how much of a standup guy you are. Even Rampage said in his blog (after implying he didn't care for him much either) that family/team is family even if you don't like them.
tim sylvia's pussy Says:
how gay was that staredown? i was hoping Brown would break his face and beat that douche bag into retirement.
BONEMAN Says:
MAY IS GAY!!!!
KTFO Says:
I was a little worried Brown was going to get caught until he went all Chris Gardocki on May's face. I do have to say it (May's head) probably would have shanked right if it wasn't connected to his body so tight.
KTFO2 Says:
I wonder who's fighting this week - I hope that CB or Harris get to kick someone's ass!
