Comments on another mma site have already put to rest this false rumour about Spider lying about this seminar. These articles are not based on fact and are already assuming he’s a liar and I think it’s poor journalism to not get some more of the story before labelling him quite so bluntly. Notice how the commenting cagepotatoes immediately take it as 100% fact and run with it.

I have read that his Mom was in fact in a diabetic coma and he stayed in contact with his family until he could get out to Brazil but that she made a recovery before he was able to leave or something. I don’t know which exactly is true and neither do you, Armbreaker.

And no one’s going to kick his ass anytime soon unless you can find a decent middleweight he hasn’t already crushed…

I always suspected that all the talk about Anderson Silva being such a great guy was exaggerated. Now he has listened to all the hype and believes he is too good and has no legitimate competition in MMA. Someone please kick his ass!
