Coleman Out of UFC 87, GSP-Fitch Added

(In retrospect, this was the wrong time to tell them that there’s no Santa Claus)
UFC.com announced today that a knee injury has forced Mark Coleman off the UFC 87 card in Minnesota on August 9, though Brock Lesnar will remain to face an as of yet unnamed opponent. They also announced the night’s main event, a welterweight championship match between title-holder Georges St. Pierre and top contender Jon Fitch. Also on the card, of course, will be Kenny Florian taking on Roger Huerta.
While the addition of the GSP-Fitch title fight isn’t exactly a surprise, it should make for an interesting fight and it’s encouraging to see that the UFC isn’t keeping GSP on the bench for too long following his win over Matt Serra.
As for the loss of Coleman, we won’t suggest that his knee injury isn’t legitimate, but, well, you saw this video we posted earlier, right?

The UFC paid Colman to retire and the “pitbull” will be fighting Brock…Mark my golden words!

that pic evokes so much emotions. that pic is awsome.
as for the injury, I think the earlier vid you posted says it all.
Coleman asked for another oponent for his come back that’s my say in this.

OOOOO!!! He might be right, that sounds feasible!

If it isnt ligit i cant blame the guy… he’s much smaller than lesnar and older, lesnar would crush him. coleman and coutur would be better though randy would take him in the first

Chiming in again…
That sounds feasible too, the bit about Coleman being the one to initiate the changeup. The video posted recently would certainly support that.
Can’t wait to speculate at Lesnar/Arlovski if Rumbler is right.

Coleman would take out lesnar, anyway, he tore a ligament in his knee, that sounds pretty legit to me…assclowns.

i thought Andrei was looking to leave the ufc or at least rumoured to. Im too lazy to look into it but does he still have fights on his contract then? P.S. If the UFC is looking for someone to possibly match up with Lesnar size wise theres always that monster Chieck Kongo. Although the has no ground game..

They could always pull out some sort of scrub type man for Lesnar to demolish.
I’m kinda sad that Coleman is out of the SEEK AND DESTROY, since I was looking forward to seeing him return and see what he had left. Shame.

I 2nd that little bit about Andrei or Chieck. Both would be a good matchup, plus another test for the big man. Atleast the UFC isn’t feeding their boy knockouts like EliteXC. Those would make him put up or shut up, plus both play into the standup he was looking for not Mir who will take you apart with submissions.

to the guy above, you’re hideous, go die. you dont deserve the air you breathe.

shouldn’t be takin yo kids to see you fight. bang out of order that is. a lot of adults dont see it as a sport just two blokes knockin hell outta each other there’s no way kids need to see violence, especially when it involves their parent.

Can someone please delete Jesus posts? Fuckin Perv.
The Coleman picture as previously mentioned, does bring a couple of tears to my eyes. Heart wrenching to see your father all beaten up.
May 23rd, 2008 at 2:23 am
I would totally take my kids to see me fight. Imagine some kid is trying to get your daughter to sneak out.”No no, you don’t understand, I watched my dad beat some guy to a pulp” Thats respect right there. Just gotta make sure you win when they come to watch.

he is so afraid of brock lessner………….and he is soooo tiny and small when he is off steroids….he is just as dumb as sheark…and he is afraid of dopingtests..

whatever the reason i was looking forward to this fight, it would have been a perfect benchmark test to see if Lesnar really has what it takes.
It is a dilemma though, if Lesnar loses to anyone with experience its because he has none and if he wins its because he has potential.

they should move carwin up to fight lesnar
May 23rd, 2008 at 5:14 am
maybe if Shane Corwin ends his fight quickly tomorrow night and has no injuries he can fight Brock at ufc 87
May 23rd, 2008 at 6:03 am
I think for a definite win give him Kongo. The Pit bull from what i’ve heard has not signed back with the UFC as of yet. I could be wrong or missed a post. He had no fights left on his contract.
May 23rd, 2008 at 11:47 am
i agree. brock vs andrei would be a badass fight. lets see if the pitbull still has it.
