Makes me nostalgic for a time when at least some mainstream hip hop was more than a minstrel show.

I was showing my girlfriend all of Busta's music videos on youtube just the other day. It brought back some great memories because Busta was some hot shit back in high school (class of '99). He was a nice change from the gangsta rap that the 90s was full of. "Dangerous" and "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See" were and still are great tracks. Got to agree with douchebaggery too, his knight rider remix was awesome.

Assuming he comes out as his usual self I think Busta's energy on stage will mix well with an event like this.

Please tell me that Elite XC didn't make the spelling error of "hip hip". Or, ever worse, that's what they thought hip hop is actually called.

I guess it depends on what you consider coming of age in the 90s. I was 16 in 1999, and I despised Busta Rhymes and rap in general--still do.
