Kimbo didn't give a great performance that night but he was definitely giving a thumbs up. He gave a thumbs up again while he was in the crucifix and getting tapped in the head by Thompson.

OK , What about the 1-2 minutes when JT had Kimbo 's arms trapped and 50 or so elbows in the head, WHILE NOT KIMBO IS NOT DEFENDING.....ANy other fighter would of been out.

This fight made the Bisping/Hammil fight look fair. I never seen such a fight where an opponent was favored so much. JT ear is bleeding and is rocked and the fight is ended??? But not when Kimbo is trapped by boths arms eating elbows for almost 2 minutes.

So he skipped the BJJ/Muay Thai route a lot of other "street fighters" and "brawlers" take when they make the transition into MMA but people seem to want to think he is the only one in the cage that has ever fought outside of it or that the only fights outside of it are the ones you see on Youtube. Just like BJ Penn and a slew of other fighters he's been in so many *Real* fights where cardio and takedown defense aren't any issue that he naturally slacks in those areas. But it is his third professional fight, no MMA fighter out there was as well rounded as you see them 20 fights in if you go back and watch their third fight - no one. If he made his way up like everyone else and no one knew his name until he had sloppily won even just the majority of 20 fights he would be a legitimate contender for a title shot/primetime/etc.

Either way, that glass jaw of JT's held up pretty well against some solid shots by Kimbo. In my opinion a good sign of what his punching power might really be like when he goes up against a creditable fighter.

Rigged Fight, it was evident when JT pummelled Kimbo for 45 seconds in the end of the second and Kimbo did not defend, with no ref stoppage. end of fucking story cheating ass shit.

This fight was Thompsons... Untill the end, he took some shots and started to wobble (I mean fuck, you've all seen it) Although, I believe Kimbo was about to savagely beat the shit out of James Thompson right before it got stopped, If I were James I would've been pissed off win or lose...that was way to early.

I agree with Apexified. Although the fight was pretty terrible, it's still Kimbo's fourth professional fight. I'll admit, he has been hyped up too much too fast, and Jt was his first credible opponent, even though everyone was expecting a first round KO. It shows Kimbo still has a LONG way to go, especially if he wants to be taken seriously as a possible title contender, (and if he wants to change the opinions of many of the haters commenting here) and judging by his performance on Saturday, he would get destroyed in his next fight (unless he gets another can to demolish.) However, the man still has a boatload of potential, and i would safely guess that within the next 6 months at most we will see whether he is the new force in MMA, or simply a one-trick pony who will fade into obscurity, or become the next Bob Sapp.
