LOL something tells me giving Nick Diaz a national spotlight wouldn't end well given his questionable social skills.

I hope they are able to make a decent card, as bad as the first one was I'd still really like to see this take off on network TV.

Two words:

JAKE SHIELDS

I don't know who they can match him up against, but he's been training for the Fickette fight for months now. It's been postponed twice: once due to Shields getting injured, the next due to Fickette getting injured. The two of them fighting isn't exactly a "Top of the Card" match, and I don't know Fickette's current health.

You know what? I got it....

Let's swing for the fences. CBS needs some spectacle? Ok, try this on for size:

JAKE SHIELDS versus CHARLES "KRAZY HORSE" BENNETT

I think Bennett's legal troubles are behind him (for the moment) and both fighters would have at least 4 to 5 weeks to train up.

While I think that Shields could easily mop up Bennett, "Krazy Horse" is such an awesome character, you know he'll do SOMETHING insane. If anything, Bennett is always interesting to watch. He's gotten exposure from "coaching" on "Iron Ring", so at least he'll have some added name recognition.

Hopefully, the "Man in the Track Suit" is listening.

EliteXC is about to face the fact that they just don't have (no offense to Gina) the man power to pull off their CBS and Showtime deals. At least not with any consistant quality. The UFC is really the only promotion that has the names and following to do it, which is why I think an ESPN/ABC deal is on the way. It's just the next logical step for them and the sport.
Gary Shaw isn't doing a terrible job with EliteXC, but I think he is trying way too hard to make good on this window of opportunity that has opened for him. Hey Gary; slow down, sign some more names (HDnet & DREAM!!!) and promote the sport not the hype.
