UFC 87: "Seek and Destroy" Promo
Clear your schedules for August 9th, people. Like UFC 84, the three headlining bouts at "Seek and Destroy" are worth the cost of admission and the rest is just gravy. So, GSP/Fitch, Lesnar/Herring, and Florian/Huerta...who ya got?
Sort of related: The UFC has confirmed what most of us already knew — Michael Bisping and Chris Leben will meet at UFC 89, which will be held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England, on October 9th.

Herring good striking and pretty quick for a big guy, has already been in fights with Cro-Cop and Fedor among others..... I think he's new camp really made a difference. If he's not lazy and focused Heath could be in a title fight one day.

Me and my girlfriend will be flying up to the Twin city's from Milwaukee for this my first event! The sad part is that our ticket's were 400 hundred buck's a piece! So this will also probably be the last time I make an event...Our same seats would be $800 apiece if this were in Vegas! How the hell can fan's afford that?

Enjoy the show. I been wanting to go to a show for the longest time. You are right, unless you are well off, or HAVE absolutely NOTHING else to spend your money on, the UFC is NOT cheap.
Just for cable and a PPV/month is over a grand. Then add just one show per year with decent seats. Getting close to 2000. Then add UFC fight club, wagering, UFC merchandising, etc, etc. you are looking at close to $3000 per year. Taking into account taxes, you have to give $5000 of you yearly income to see a show a year and order all the PPV's. That is 1/4 of income for some.
Then if you are a hardcore fan travelling to all shows.....You might spend close to $10,000/year, with the price of transportation.
I have a lot of other hobbies. If I had to spend $2000 or $3000 for all the other things I like to do as much as the UFC......I would have to make $50,000 a year, JUST TO COVER my hobbies....

Frank Mir. True he made a rookie mistake, but I don't see that happening again. Lesnar is the man to watch, future UFC Champ.
