No shit Nate won the fight on points without the deductions! After that ilegal knee early on the second round I’m surprised Leites was even able to stand up and continue to fight (most fighters wouldn’t). And now peace of shit Nate has the balls to say he’s scared what a worthless excuse for a human being.

My point being…..

Some refs will give 10, plus warnings before deducting a point, if they even take away a point at all. Some take point aaway immediately, some let it go 4 times before THEN giving only a warning.

My point is that every fights is ref’d SO DIFFERENTLY. ALmost EVERY fight, there are punches that hit the back of a fighters head, and RARLEY is a point deducted. Someitmes there are warnings after 4 or 5 strikes, sometimes afer 22 or 3…..The point being it is SO INCONSISTANT!!!!

Yes BFowlkes I may be biased because not only do I get a chance to consistently train with KJ and see his potential on a daily basis but it is plain and simple that Diaz looked like shit in their fight and got his ass beat. I think that EliteXC needs to co-promote a Josh Thomson and KJ fight instead of an undeserved rematch. And Gracies suck ass… I bet you have never set foot inside a gym and I would love to see you call KJ a bitch to his face…

fightfan- Dean did warn Nate several times, prior to the point deduction. He even says “do it again, I’m taking a point” and he did. The 2nd point deduction was BS, the elbow was clean…but the piledriver should have been a 2nd point, so in my opinion it equals out.
Nate fought dirty…name the last time you saw ANY UFC fight with 2 point deductions.

Oh, and Herb Dean did dock Ryan Ford a point for grabbing the shorts. The only time he messed up was when he let Ford elbow Spratt twice after the bell, that was stupid

Ikcedar- YES, it was a piledriver. The rule states you can’t pick up an opponent and spike their head on the ground. Just because Leites moved his face doesn’t mean it isn’t a piledriver, he still landed on his head (face, same thing genius)

decuctin an ENTIRE point is just absolutely ridiculis. ESPECIALLY, when the judges taking away points do it DIFFERENTLY EACH AND EVERY FIGHT!!!

One fight, lets say ref A may give fighter A warning after warning after warning WITHOUT DEDUCTING a point…..While ANOTHER ref would deduct a point on the first or second time……Therefore HOW CAN TAHT BE FAIR…..The round score could differ by 10-9 winning teh round for fighter A, all the way to him losing the round 10-7 or 10-6 if points were DECUCTED EQUALLY.

you guys know what I am saying…..Some people can do the same foul 10,12, maybe even more WITHOUT getting a point deduction….couple quick examples CB vs Kline in TUF… Maz warned CB over and over and over and over and over and in between rounds about back of the head strikes.

While Herb Dean let Ryan Ford CONTINUALLY grab the shorts and even rip them against Spratt. Ford could of been DOCKED 5 points if THE SAME HERB DEAN THAT REF”D the Marquardt/Leites FIGHT!!!!!! actually did what he did in BOTH fights.

THERE HAS TO BE CONSISTAENCY!!!!!! Sure the refs WILL NEVER BE on the same page….BUT at least they haev to deduct points EQUALLY and gie WARNINGS equally!!!!

CityBoxingSanDiego, do you think it’s possible you might be a little biased on the Diaz-Noons front? I’m just messing with you, but seriously, yes Diaz looked bad, and yes he deserves a rematch. The fight was stopped on cuts, which is always unsatisfying. Plus, who else does Elite XC have as a good challenger for Noons right now? It only makes sense.
