According to another site, the Nick/Mach fight will happen on the Dream 6 card, to be held on Sept 23rd. Will be a good one, despite Mach’s loss. In MMA, you have to give fighters the occasional crap loss.

It does not matter if Sakurai just lost or if he is a japanese fighter, the man is one of the best fighters in the world. It would be like saying that it does not matter that Thiago Alves just beat Matt Hughes because Hughes lost his last couple of fights. Matt Hughes is still world class, so is Mach.

Diaz beat Gomi and should have a shot at Sakurai, who has fought all kinds of excellent fighters, would help to establish him as world class fighter. I don’t mean disrespect to Denny, he is just not where Sakurai is.

Fighting Sakurai is a win-win for Diaz because if he wins he beats Hayato Sakurai, if he loses ; well he just lost to Hayato Sakurai. I just want to see Nick Diaz do well for once. I like him but he makes so many idiotic decisions and then runs his mouth. If he would just focus on fighting he could be one of the best.

This fight is Garbage. How is Nick going to give up a fight against Hayato Sakurai to fight some no name buttwipe. Nick needs to worry about beating world class fighters and not fighting for some stupid belt in a BS organization like EliteXC. Imagine if he would have beat Sakurai. It would finally prove how good he really is and help to justify his win over Gomi.
