Silva is a good fighter and should not feel compelled to learn a new language himself. I think good part of his training is made outside US (back home) and down there english is just as useless and portuguese is in the US. It is really not a bad thing... nobody that goes abroad to fight in places like Japan, Russia, Brasil,... do learn the local language as well. Of course you do learn a few words here and there... now, if you wanna use your new few words in front of the cameras broadcasting to some millions of people is another issue... . Perhaps the guy is just don't want to. Perhaps buttflies should learn a new language as a way to improve his cultural background which seems quite limited (No guarantees here).
