Faber to Defend Title Against Mike Brown at WEC 36
Sherdog has confirmed previous rumors that WEC 36 — which is slated for September 10th at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida — will be headlined by a featherweight championship match between 145-pound king Urijah Faber and highly regarded American Top Team fighter Mike Brown. Brown is coming off an impressive decision win over Jeff Curran at WEC 34, and has won 10 of his last 11 fights in organizations like Bodog Fight, HOOKnSHOOT, AFC, and DEEP. If you’re unfamiliar with his work, check out the above highlight reel from VulgarATT.
All of Faber’s WEC matches to this point have been held in Las Vegas or in his home state of California, but Brown will have the hometown advantage in this one, since he trains with ATT in nearby Coconut Creek, FL. WEC 36 will also feature the middleweight rematch between champion Paulo Filho and Chael Sonnen, as well as bouts between Mark Munoz and Steve Steinbeiss, and “Razor” Rob McCullough vs. Donald Cerrone.

It’s a shame that their are no 145′ers that Urijah could beat that are good enough for anybody to soundly consider him the best p4p fighter in the world. A title I think he deserves.

What is the song in this highlight reel?
Does anyone know?
Thanks

Urijah Faber via RNC, first round.
Brownie is good, Faber is world class. That’s the difference ladies and gentleman. Urijah Faber is probably top 2 or 3 featherweights in the world. I have a feeling that Urijah Faber won’t get any legitimate competition until he changes over to the UFC. He’s just too fuckin’ good. Unfortunately, the UFC doesn’t have a Featherweight division.. So maybe Faber could move up to Lightweight? Maybe kick Kenny Florian’s ass around the ring and earn a shot at BJ Penn? That’s the fight I wanna see. Fuck GSP vs. Penn, I wanna see Penn Vs. Faber.

I think BJ and GSP are pretty damn exciting to watch, you can’t count them out.

C-Bus is absolutely right.
condit is a lot of fun to watch too, it would be nice to throw him into an octagon ™ or two, and i see a determination in Stann that should scare the piss out of any contenders.

Brown won a decision against Curran. Faber made Curran tap the floor in the 2nd. (as we’ve all seen on Versus over and over and over again) This looks like another easy paycheck for the Kid

I really think that faber needs to go to the UFC because he needs to be getting PAID more. He won the Jens Pulver fight and onl got 33K for it. That is BS. He needs to go to 155 and go to the UFC. Faber is one of the hardest working fighters in the game. he is ridiculously well rounded and is very charismatic. The UFC would not need to market him because he markets himself.
I don’t think that he could take BJ Penn though. It would be a pretty good fight but BJ would get him. BJ’s standup is better, his BJJ is on another level and for once BJ would have size and strength on his side.

Genk-move-Sudo handled this looser.
he sucks

i think i read somewhere faber has to put weight on to stay at featherweight, and has a hard time doing it. now, if he moved down to face miguel torres, thats a fight to see.

With how much some of the names above post, you would think they know this. Im lookin at you CBus and glza.
