Twist thinks Sylvia wasn’t a real opponent because he wasn’t a real opponent. He is a terrible fighter and the only thing he has ever had going for him was his size, that won him a few lucky matches in a pretty empty HW field in the UFC once upon a time.

Then a real fighter got put up against him (Couture) and it was pathetic. Sylvia has little business in MMA, and I have a hard time understanding why people like him. He’s always been a worse than average fighter, and doesn’t even make for interesting fights (except when he gets ruined it seems - Mir, Fedor)

Not a Bob Sapp to be sure, but it’s laughable that people rank him as a top heavyweight contender, from the perspective of MMA fighting ability.

All Randy wants is a shot at the greatest out there, and who would blame him? IMO Randy is the greatest fighter out there and is not even closely matched by anyone except Fedor.

PS. Who wouldn’t have sex with that belt on, it was his only chance!

IIRC, Fedor not only wanted loads of cash, but he wanted his Manager to co-promote the event AND he wanted his training partners to all get contracts….what they should do is have them fight a non-title fight…and Couture can walk away happy.

Having Fedor as the UFC champ (with the contract Fedor wants) could be bad. They should concede the Sambo competiting, but require he stay in the UFC.

Dana is likely going to let Affliction die and buy the ashes.

A Randy-Fedor fight would only be worth watching because it might go to the second round. Fedor would destroy everyone else. Randy would not beat Fedor but he would put up a little bit of a fight before getting beat.
