In case you're wondering what a TKO via eye poke really looks like, here's a close-up view from the Anthony Johnson-Kevin Burns debacle that you can watch again and again. Notice how, after the poke and the ensuing uppercut, the left hand that Burns comes back around with also has the fingers extended outward in poke-ready mode. I would suggest refining his punching technique, but it did result in him getting the win. As my grandfather used to say, if it ain't broke, why not poke?

Watching the replay over a few times, I just cannot see how that wasn't somewhat intentional.
Johnson is nothing but a class act. He could have groused about the whole ordeal and been completely justified in doing so. Instead, he takes the high road and even gives a shout out for his opponent.

No, the rules state once a ref makes a decision they can not go back and change it because of video footage...yes its fucking stupid.
ALSO-Kevin Burns was specifically throwing open palm strikes...not to hurt Anthony but because he broke his own hand 3 times recently. Its kinda shitty but its not against the rules and we can't go back and change it. I believe he did not mean to poke Anthony's eye out.

I like how DW always bashes other organizations, claiming that they wont last. Yeah, Affliction did drop alot of money for this fight card, but you never come out on top your first couple promotions or fights. It took the UFC years to start making a profit. Samething will happen with Affliction. DW is just concerned.
