Gird Your Loins, TapouT is Back for Season Two

This trailer for season two of "TapouT" (premiering July 30th) on Versus is absolutely perfect. I can't imagine a more effective way of capturing how incredibly annoying this show is. Stupid catch phrases, mind-numbing repetition, vague promises of violence, facepaint, wigs, glimpses of girls in their underwear and brief scenes of actual MMA -- that's the show all right.
It takes a lot to create something MMA-related that I won't watch. TapouT, by sheer cloying perseverance, has done it. For that, I salute them. Having saluted them, I will now go consult the TV Guide to see if there is anything else on that night. If there isn't, I will read TV Guide from cover to cover. Anything so long as I don't have to endure an hour's worth of grown men who are dressed for the world's worst Halloween party screaming at me as they ride around in a bus for indistinct reasons. I had enough of that during my childhood, thank you very much.

LOL!! You could not have described this show any better. I made it about five minutes into an episode last season before I changed the channel, and I'll normally watch anything MMA-related over something non-MMA any day of the week. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I'll never spend a dime on Tapout as long as their affiliated with this show.

I guess ill be the first to disagree. I think the show is pretty cool I also think Mask, Punkass, and Skyscrape seem like pretty cool cats. They may seem like off the wall characters but at least they are being theirselves and not trying to pretend. I am definatley jealous that those guys get to do all this awesome shit and they are entrepreneurs none of you can say that you are doing what you love and getting paid for it.

I like the TapouT show for the simple reason we get a 1st look at the new stars of tomorrow. Cowboy who was one of the 1st features on the show is on the verge of a WEC championship. I think they do great things for young fighters. They are annoying so what, they are great for the sport. I like seeing fights, I can endure a few (ok many) minutes of craziness to see a fight.

Ever since I can remember, Those guys have been set up outside fights selling their shit, going on radio and advertising events that get overlooked by the mainstream. It's easy to jump on board and talk shit about something you have no idea about. They have been outspoken supporters of OUR sport since the early 90's. If they want to put make up on and wear wigs and be larger then life, let em. I think they deserve to act how they want.
