Tim Sylvia Says He'll Fight on Next Affliction Show, Claims to Want Rematch with Fedor
From the Houston Chronicle, Jared Barnes talks with Tim Sylvia about the state of his career and the potential for WAMMA's legitimacy. Sylvia is under the impression that he'll be fighting on the second Affliction show in October, but won't say who he might face. He also says that he'd eventually like a rematch with Fedor, presumably because it's a great way to get paid without having to be in the ring very long. He also manages to talk a little smack about Ricco Rodriguez. Just proves that no matter how low you're feeling, there's always someone down there for you to kick.

I hope all the affliction fighters read where affliction said they weren't ever going to pay like they did the first time. I hope they read it, and understood that its now time to paid much less...welcome back to earth you overpaid asshats!

Most likey it will be Fedor/Arlovski and Barnett/Timmy but I would have gone with Timmy vs Arlovski for the peepeepee comedy value because Sylvia's only value now is as comic fodder.

you guys should start thinking about fedors next fight. Arlovsky wont win, thats a fact. Question is, who will fedor be fighting after arlovsky? barnett should be the guy, thats why i think tim will be fighting barnett.

I guess you can't have ALL fights be entertaining. You need at least one fight to be boring on each card, and Timmy is an expert at that. That's not cool how Tim talked shit about Ricco by the way... the guy must be going through a lot of shit right now (you know you're a has-been loser and your life sucks ass if you make it on VH1). I don't really see Affliction putting Sylvia against someone who'll kick his ass (Barnett), they wanna keep marketing him as a top-10, so they'll probably just feed Paul Buentello to him. Although it would be funny to see him get his ass kicked by Aleksander Emelianenko (assuming he doesn't have hepatitis) ...2 Emelianenko's in a row, how embarrassing.
