HDNet brings us an absolute war between Jesse Forbes and Chris Camozzi for the “Fight of the Week.” If you like a bout that gets bloody early and only becomes more so before a surprise finish, then you are going to love this one. If you don’t like that, maybe you should check out a sport more your speed. How about women’s team handball?
In other HDNet news, Strikeforce’s October 3 event in Denver will air live on the cable network, MMA Weekly reported today. This is in addition to their late-night offering on NBC, which means Strikeforce is very quietly becoming one of the most visible MMA organizations on TV. No word yet as to whether their September event from the Playboy Mansion will make it on to TV, but we sure hope so. Purely because of the fights, of course.

My prediction……
Fight of the week, bloody early and becomes more so with a surprise finish?
Whoever gets bloodied up and beat on for most of the fight willl win. Some crazy finish like Pete Sell/Smith or flash KO or submission out of nowwhere. Thats my prediction….One fighter gets bloodied and beat up for the entire fight until he somehow reverses and gets a KO or quick submission.
Now I will watch the fight.

That was not a “fight of the week”, that was two consumate amateurs: one getting his ass kicked clearly outmatched, until the other makes an idiotic (amateur) mistake and gets caught in a sub. One was weak in ability the other was weak mentally, both paid for it, more like “Fight of the WEAK”. Ha ha!

That ref was terrible. You don’t tell them “work away from the ropes” a dozen times, you just restart them in the middle. Their job is to fight, yours is to worry about the ropes.

Thanks for the fight CP. I don’t usually read the captions before watching the fights because sometimes you catch the spoilers.
Few beefs with the rules of the fight though….
Ropes piss me off. The early take down attempt totally stuffed by a rope grab is retarded.
The other thing that is retarded is when the ref stopped the fight to have the cut looked at. Buddy was getting his ass beat on the bottom, and then gets restarted standing up. Bogus. It would have been much worse if he caught a flash knockout. I can’t remember what fight had something similar, but I remember seeing that too and that’s not right either.

gotta admit that was a damn good fight.
It helps that it was Forbes ass getting beat till the very end, and his blood pouring out, as I hated him on the show.
Sucks that he beat a can, but oh well, a can who can punch that face is always nice.
