Dana White Announces Plan to Attack Toronto

Dana White
(He's wearing a hockey jersey! What more do Canadians want?)

So you thought you could keep the UFC out forever, eh, Toronto? You and the whole province of Ontario, just hanging out, watching hockey and that bullshit Canadian football, thinking you're safe from MMA just because it's technically illegal there. Well there's one thing you didn't plan on: Dana fucking White. And now he's coming for you, and he won't take no for an answer:

"I’m going after Canada after (I get approval in) New York and Massachusetts. I’m attacking Canada. I’m going to spend so much time in Canada I’ll have to buy a house. I’m going to live here until it’s done. I’m going to be sitting on the porch every day they come to work."

You see what you've done, Toronto? You've forced Dana White to start stalking you. It's like you're Heather Locklear and White is me circa 1995. What can I say, it was a phase. Then she got old and starting appreciating the attention and I moved on with my life. It's a whole thing I'd rather not get into. The point is, Toronto, I doubt you'll be so lucky.

As much as Canadians seem to love MMA, it's hard to understand the resistance to it at this point. But I guess you could say the same thing for New York. Eventually they'll all give in, and they know it, so why not just quit stop screwing around and accept it. Unless this is all an elaborate ploy to see if Dana White will really buy that house. And he will. But damn, is the real estate market that bad even in Canada?

MMA is legal in most of Canada, with the notable exceptions being the city of Vancouver and the province of Ontario. As it pertains to Ontario, most of the resistance is due to Ontario Athletic Commissioner Ken Hayashi (google him to find out more about his douchebaggery) and his refusal to sanction MMA on the grounds that it would require him to do more work (he claims it's because he thinks it would be illegal, but him having to do more work is what it basically boils down to).

Does it really fucking matter if he comes into my hood? Nope its like i'll have a fair shot at buying tickets with my hard earned money so fuck em I don't give a shit if thy do come or not, Especially after tryin my bag off to get a Montreal ticket! Until Dana makes an improvement and gives a shit about the actual fans fuck him I'll keep watching every show free in the warmth of my own home at my own bar beers cheaper and the women are hotter!! fuck em!

MMA Capital of the world - Welcome to Toronto!

Tie Domi has been workin' on his ground game....

@ first

dana's a hab's fan? what a douchebag.

You ready for this hosers? Eh!
Eh!... Hosers!... Eh!

What about STL you're still from the USA right? EH!... HOSER!

(Sorry that's all the Canadian slang I know)

YESSSS!! my hometown baby i can not wait til they come to Toronto its been too damn long... and the leafs fuckign suck we need another sport here to get us riled up again

Yes, the Ontario athletic commissioner is a retard. There are a LOT of unsanctioned fights going down in Ontario right now, and plenty on Indian reserves (who play by their own rules). But it's not good for the sport.

UFC is huge here. it helps that a canadian has the welterweight belt, but even before then it was really big.

And we didn't do the whole sub prime loan nonsense here, so no, houses are not cheap. Especially in this city.

ilostmydog hit the nail on the head. Although fights are often held on First nations land in Ontario. Would love to see it sanctioned here as there are a lot of talented fighters and it would bring a helluva lot of money into Toronto (specifically - I do realize that there are other Canadian cities aside from Toronto.)

This idiot Hayashi is dead set against it.......and he calls the shots and has the final say.

And yes that's awesome that he wants to help get MMA out of the rut here. That would be sweet.

Fuck Ontario, go to a different Province.

Hey Dana...way to over look Calgary, you fucking retard........its already leagal to hold events in Alberta..........but then again your probably sofa-king stupid, you would book a show in freaking Edmonton. Better not buy house house there! lets see how your benz looks with snow tires on it! HIT IT .....nah

LOL!! Just keep watching your terrible football team and leave the real sports (hockey, MMA) to Us in Alberta....oh did I say that??? Ya we got a NHL team, and a football team that whoop your ass all season...

AWESOME.
I hope Dana moves nearby and we can go beat up hipsters on queen west every monday.

also lol @ the toronto hating.
having lived in toronto for 3 years now, i've come to realize it's between drinkin timmy's and playing hockey on the national agenda.

FUCK YOU PRAIRIES.
(Its hard to talk shit about montreal and van)

it about fucking time they do something
hockey is ok for me but it nothing compared to MMA i love this shit lololol

what with all of you attaking each other if they come to toronto good for canada
if they come to quebec good for canada
if they come to bc it good for canada
get my poimt
stop beckering at each other and be happie they are finaly coming over the border
fucking fucknuts

Canada is the 2nd largest country on the planet, yet we have a population a little over 30 million.
toronto and montreal are about 7 hours of driving apart.
toronto and vancouver are about 2 days of driving apart.
ufc coming to any one city does pretty much fuck all for the country, it just means the people in that city and any others within driving distance get to see a ufc event live. so yeah, naturally we're gonna be calling each other cunts hoping it comes to our city.

The slowdown in getting MMA legalized in Ontario is f-ing Ken Hayashi's fault and not anything to do with lack of interest, I live in Toronto and every bat that shows ppvs here is always over flowing with patrons before the shows start. MMA has a huge following here.

maxwell thats the dumdest thing i have ever read i live two hoursfrom Montreal and they where sold out before i even had a chance to buy tickets i am still happy that they came here.

it always the same fucking story you got to hate different countrys, then you hate province then it the city, after that it small town fuck it get annoying

i am all for good rivaleries but when we need something for canada we should all help each other instead of calling each other ball licker and shit like that.

and it dumb people like you that make it hard to get MMA everywhere in canada

if you can says something smart then shut the fuck up
you make all of us look dumdass jocks

you my friend are an absolute waste of space.

i think the UFC would have a hard time gettin all your damn livestock and inbread siblings to buy tickets.

MMA is A-Ok in Alberta, why not work on places that allow it first?
Their has been good showings at the local events.

unless you think that mma events are a federal issue? they're not, you're wrong. (and an idiot, if my last post didn't make that clear.)

errr this site reversed the order of my previous two posts.

lol what?
honestly, im not sure what you're referring to. I merely stated why people have been arguing in this post about toronto sucking etc.

my point was, everyone wants a ufc event in their neck of the woods. a ufc event in vancouver means fuck all to east coast fans, and vice versa.

really though i have no idea what in the fuck you got so worked up about? and calling me a jock? when i can type actual readable english and you can't? thx for the quick laugh though.

YOU my friend... are the perfect reason why home schooling should be banned in Sask.

Put for inbread six finger hand on a dictionary before you start typing on public sites.

War UFC event in Calgary by 2010..Lets rock the Dome!

I'm a life-long Toronto resident and love the city but I wouldn't bring the UFC here. We couldn't sell out a CFL game that featured Muhammad Ali in person for a tribute. Ontario's Athletic Commissioner is a brain-less jock-sniffer while Quebec and the Prairie provinces have huge fan bases...and allow MMA.
As for hockey...its what Canadians do when they're too dumb to sofa-wrestle with a hot chick.

i am not from saskatoon you dumb fuck lolololol

Oh, and Dana....

Wearing a Habs jersey in Toronto is equal to putting on a Boston Red Sox jersey for a news conference at Yankee Stadium.

By the way he may have set a personal record...he went almost two minutes of talking without swearing....but only after he spotted a 7 year old among the fans.

No, the 7 year old was NOT Ontario's Athletic Commissioner.

If you look at the UFC event in the picture where he's in the Habs sweater (In Canada it's a sweater to quote Don Cherry) - IT'S GSP vs SERRA 2. Which for all those who know, took place in Montreal. So while the announcement took place in Toronto, I doubt Dana wore a Montreal sweater.

I'm from Toronto. Live in Calgary now. People out here would eat that shit up. But you do get more douchebags in Toronto with more money than they know what to do with it. Why else would Xtreme Couture open up there instead of a market where MMA is legal? Retards business degree suits with money that want to re-live their athletic prime of being in school - and learn how to get a sweet armbar on someone the next time they're douching it up in Tonic, Embassy, or even Lüb for that matter.

The obstacle in Ontario is Ken Hayashi. Plain and simple. As long as he is the Ontario Athletic Commissioner, the UFC won't be in Ontario. Hayashi is more interested in making a name for himself by resisting it. Good work Ken! Cost the Ontario economy millions of dollars in revenue! Good work dick head!

yaaaaaaa, you dick head!!!!

TYPICAL IGNORANT AMERICANS

NO WONDER YOU STUPID FUCKS ARE LOSING THE WAR AND ARE IN A RECESSION

dear Mike, is your last name paladino?

LMAO at all the province hating...god this thread is hilarious
as people mentioned before, the fact they`re coming to your town or not doesnt mean you`ll be able to go see it. I live in montreal and couldnt get any tickets when they came. Dana needs to do something about retard scalpers and that UFC fan bullshit. I aint payin 75$ to get a website account so I can buy expensive tickets.
