Chael Sonnen: Alistair Overeem did not test positive for anything

Tuesday night Chael Sonnen came to the defense of under-fire Heavyweight Alistair Overeem, who awaits the decision of NSAC concerning his license to fight at UFC 146. Blaming the media, Sonnen essentially considered Overeem’s issue to be an overblown phenomenon created by MMA media. Familiar with the issue of elevated T:E levels, Sonnen had the following to say on Fuel TV’s “UFC Tonight”:
“Congratulations to MMA media, right when I think you’re incompetence can’t get to any higher level, the

Alistair Overeem’s manager confident his client will fight at UFC 146

The soap opera of UFC 146’s main event continued yesterday with an interview involving Alistair Overeem’s manager Glenn Robinson. Robinson seemed confident that Overeem would indeed be involved in the Heavyweight championship bout on May 26 in Las Vegas. His words sought to clarify exactly how Overeem’s failed drug test would be clarified, in the sense he allegedly did not test for elevated levels of Testosterone, but rather only an irregularity in Testosterone to Epitestosterone levels. Overeem’s levels

UFC on Fuel TV 2 aftermath: Who’s next for Alexander Gustafsson?

The dust has settled on UFC on Fuel TV 2, and now many questions arise about where Alexander Gustafsson will go from here. No doubt a promising prospect with title fights on the horizon, just how ready is he for the biggest stage at this point of his career? His decision victory over Thiago Silva in Stockholm was a one-sided affair. Gustafsson beat arguably the best opponent of his young career handily in Sweden, but there are seemingly many detractors to his performance.
Those arguing for Gustafsson say

Mark Hunt will not replace Alistair Overeem at UFC 146

It appears that the many fans lobbying to get Mark Hunt into the title fight at May’s UFC 146 have fallen just short.  The effort put forth by his fans was staggering and very respectful, but UFC President Dana White made it clear that Hunt will have to work his way up the ladder and best a top-tier Heavyweight in order to get a title shot.  Not wanting to give anyone preferential treatment, White had the following to say on the issue:”They can keep rallying. That ain’t going to happen. Listen,
