Siyar Bahadurzada calls out BJ Penn, says he will fight for free

UFC Welterweight recently took to Twitter to express his interest as a replacement for the injured Rory MacDonald. Calling out BJ Penn, Bahadurzada is willing to undergo the previously scheduled VADA testing routine prior to a fight with Penn, as well as donate his fight purse to charity. It appears that Bahadurzada, who is coming off of a flash knockout over Paulo Thiago, is highly motivated to prove his worth as a UFC commodity versus a true legend in Penn. UFC 149: Thiago Alves now faces Siyar Bahadurzada

News broke today that Thiago Alves will find himself with a new opponent at UFC 149 from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Originally scheduled to face Yoshihiro Akiyama on the card, he will now fight surging prospect Siyar Bahadurzada. This announcement adds some fireworks yo the card, as both fighters love to throw leather with bad intentions. The bout holds different but important implications for both fighters.

Bahadurzada injured and out of UFC 149, Matt Riddle to face Chris Clements

UFC officials announced late Saturday night that Siyar Bahadurzada was the latest fighter to drop from UFC 149 due to injury. Bahadurzada’s scheduled opponent, Chris Clements, will now face Matt Riddle.

Injury forces Thiago Alves out of UFC 149

News broke today that Thiago Alves is out of his UFC 149 bout with Siyar Bahadurzada. Forced to withdraw due to an undisclosed injury, it is a disappointing setback for Alves. Looking to bounce back from a submission loss to the surging Martin Kampmann, Alves was set up to face Bahadurzada in an exciting war of two fast-paced strikers.
