If the UFC wishes to continue growing and becoming more popular, Dana White really needs to clean up his mouth. He should take some lessons from mainstream sports commissioners such as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and NBA Commissioner David Stern. Every thing Dana says is public and he represents the UFC. He stepped out of line with his comments and behavior like this could very easily cost the UFC sponsorship revenue and have negative effects on the sport and fighters.

He strongly believes, and is in a position to know, that Loretta Hunt was speaking erroneously, and it pissed him off.

DW is the president and public face of a prominent sporting organization and needs to act like it. If, say, Bud Selig or Roger Goodell ever went off like that you can bet your sweet ass they wouldn't have a job the next morning.

So there's nothing that irritates me more with this sort of thing when his defenders say "fuck u man he has a right to say whatever he wants 1st amendment wooo"--well, yeah, that's technically true, in the same way that I have a first amendment right to fart in your mother's face while she's asleep. I won't do that, because I'm not an asshole and I don't want to embarrass myself. DW embarrassed himself in the same way, but unfortunately, the responsibility he bears as UFC president means that his embarrassment is the company's embarrassment.
