Remember when Bruce Buffer was announcing the result of the Rampage/Forrest fight, and he was like “the winner, aaaaaand…” — like he was going to say “still champion” — and everyone, including Forrest Griffin, was like “OMFG Rampage won!”? Here’s the latest “Fight of the Week” from HDNet Fights: The October 2007 match between Drew Fickett and Anthony Lapsley, which Fickett won by first-round rear-naked choke. You may remember Lapsely as one-half of the King of the Cage double-knockout in May (not to be confused with the Shaun Parker/Tyler Bryan double-KO that happened the next night). Anyway, Lapsely doesn’t fare much better here. This was the first of Fickett’s current four-fight streak of matches won by first-round choke submission.
