(Hendo has been eating his Wheaties.)
The weigh-ins for Saturday night’s Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson event were held at the Arnold Sports Festival at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio today and they went off without a hitch with each of the fighters making his or her respective mandatory weight requirements.
Former PRIDE welterweight and middleweight champion Dan Henderson looks to be in the best shape he’s been in in recent years. The 40-year-old former Olympic wrestler tipped the scales at a half pound under the 205-pound weight limit for his light heavyweight title bout with current champ Rafael “Feijao” Cavalcante, who also tipped the scales at an official weight of 204.5 pounds.
Strikeforce welterweight champ Marloes Coenen hit her required mark of 135 pounds for her first title defense since defeating Sarah Kaufman last October to win the strap. Coenen’s opponent for tomorrow night’s event, Liz Carmouche came in one pound lighter than the Dutch fighter, weighing in at 134 pounds.
