Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Anyone Else Want to See These Two Heels Beat Each Other Up? You may Get Your wish.

(Rooting against these guys will be easy, but who do you root for in this one?)

United Glory recently announced that it will be putting on a pretty decent eight-man welterweight tournament that will include guys like former BoDog Fight champion Nick "The Goat" Thompson, DREAM 170-pound tournament winner Marius Zaromskis and Roan Carneiro.

Although the line-up is decent, one hypothetical match-up that could materialize may be more intriguing than the fight card itself.

MiddleEasy is on the same page as I am when I say that I’m keeping my fingers crossed that a heelfight between the Golden Glory promoted tournament participants Shinya "The Sadist" Aoki and Paul "Suckerpunch" Daley happens during one of the tourney’s brackets.

The conundrum for most of us will be deciding which fighter to root for.

Daley shot to the top of most fans’ and pundits’ most hated list for his despicable cheap shot he took at fellow scoundrel Josh Koscheck following their UFC 113 bout in May, but Aoki has been on most people’s top ten list for much longer for his seemingly perpetual post-fight antics and comments about his unhealthy desire to seriously injure his opponents.

Regardless of who wins, if this bout ever does happen most of us will be hoping for a three-round back-and-forth war that sees both fighters incur equal amounts of punishment for their past transgressions.

Did you ever think you would hate someone for sucker punching kos ?..... really?

Aoki deserves to be beaten for the goatee in the above picture if nothing else. It makes him look like a 13-year-old who still hasn't gotten the whole shaving thing down yet.

Paul Daley + Marius Zaromskis = Slugfest!

There is a dude on the card named Anderson Silva. Small world. Must be a REALLY small world in Brazil, what with the 5 name pool that they use to name all male children.

Always hated Aoki. Don't know why. Probably the face. Also always hated Daley. Could be the face, but prob the mouth. Love to see them fight cause I don't care who loses. It is win-win for me!

"Crank it like he's trying to bang a U-Turn" was the lolicopters for me.

This actually looks rather tasty , Go on Semtex.

Aoki isn't a heel. He didn't sucker punch anyone after the bell, and he doesn't go running his mouth like a damned frate train (yes frate train - ask Middleeasy what it is).

Aoki takes a little too much joy in breaking bones, sure. But if your opponent refuses to tap then he's doin what he's gotta do. Hoping for an open fracture is just appreciating your work to it's fullest.

Amsterdam, you say? Heard they're famous for something, can't quite recall what exsctly. Maple syrup, I think. Would be cool to.. Ahhh, who am I kidding, anybody got a stream??

And I always thought Aoki weighed around 135 pounds or so. Learn something new every day, I tells ya.

This event is put on by golden glory gym in amsterdam, in case anyone was wondering who was promoting it. Daley-aoki will not be much different than aoki-sakurai....aoki will get ktfo

Overrated or not i'd love to see it! Id like to see Aoki get a submission in, but the poor guy was having troubles with standup from Melendaz. Daley is going to knock Shinya's head right off. He hits like a mule. A drunk angry mule.

Daley would kill Aoki if he could land a clean shot at the start of the fight.

Aoki is way overrated.

I'd just like to say - and I mean it sincerely: First, bitchez!

I always wanted to do it. Now, it is done.

Oh and about the heel-thing: What has Daley done besides sucker-punching Kos after whatever it was he whispered in his ear in the closing seconds? I think you're overestimating the fans disregard for this kind of stuff. Did I think it was lame he did that? Hell yes. Do I still want to see him fight in the UFC anyway? Damn right, I do. It's where he'd get his ass whooped the worst anyway...unless this really works out and Aoki gets a hold of one of his limbs. But let's be honest: is this fight really gonna happen in the Netherlands in some "Say again. Who?"-event? If it really does: good job, unknown promoters.

...and you could make the argument that it is the best submission artist vs. the best knockout artist at welterweight.

There are other people who would be in the conversation, just saying you could make the argument.

It just ends up with Aoki ripping something off of Daley's body and then Daley saying that he's better off without whatever appendage Aoki took home. It's not like Daley can stop a takedown and defending Koscheck's attempts at a rear naked choke is probably way easier than Aoki just grabbing anything and cranking it like he's trying to bang a u-turn.
