At the UFC 89 Weigh-Ins: Bisping Says Leben Underestimating Him

The weigh-ins for UFC 89 went off without a hitch today. Everyone hit their target weight, or at least fell within the one-pound allowance of it, and nobody had to strip naked while their dad held a towel in front of them. There was a terse exchange between the main eventers, with Chris Leben offering an apology in advance to the British fans, and Michael Bisping getting all Rodney Dangerfield about Leben showing him no respect:

Said Leben:

“I’m sorry for coming over and ruining your guys’ big hope and dream. I know you love him, but I didn’t come all this way to lose. One of us will take a step back and the other a step forward; there isn’t too many ahead of us now.”

Replied Bisping:

“You’re right, one forward and one down. I am moving forward. You underestimate me and I think that is a mistake. May the best man win and I will see you tomorrow night.”

As weigh-in disagreements go, that’s downright gentlemanly. Guess that’s what you get in jolly old England. Full scale-tipping results are after the jump:

the guy above me is right i support american fighters and am british and i think that paul taylor won but i will not cry about it for years like some not all americans did about hamil.all british and american fighters showed alot of respect to eachother last night AND IF THEY CAN CHANGE WE CAN CHANGE ha ha ha i am a fan of lebens now also now because i like how he carried his self. ufc fans mum still needs a shave but i love that goofy little bastard two

Im american and sometimes it disgusts me how americans hate bisping because hes british. He proved to be better fighter than leben. Americans need to admit that the rest of the world can produce good fighter too.

Not sure thats gonna be a fightwinner, but at least he has the muscle to through that no dick piss-penis idiot around.

What's with Dana always being in the background of the face off pictures with that creepy ass smile/smirk on his face? I would imagine the inside of his head sounds a little like this: "Yeah, get closer...punch him in the face..do it, do it good...man I'm getting the hugest boner ever...I gotta take care of this, where's J.T.? lets get serious here Bisping is way overrated Leben has a steel jaw and it will take more than bispings predictable straight punches to knees to do any damage to Leben I couldn't believe that Bisping was the favourite for gambling odds.

And c'mon guys, isn't it time for us to protest these shitty nicknames? I actually like watching Leben fight, because he is a brawler and can take a punch, but "The Crippler"? Who has he crippled? That has to be the worst nic in MMA.
The way he fights, sort of reminds me of Randall Tex Cobb, who as you know, loved to brawl and stopped many, if not most punches from an opponent, with his face.

This photo reminds me of the Silva/Cote photo where Cote looks kind of scared just like Wain looks in this. Not that the promo shots are anything to gauge predictions on (everyone already knows Cote is getting dropped)
