Regulatory difficulties in Quebec forced Bellator to get all old-school UFC and move Bellator IX to the glitz and glamour of Monroe, Louisiana, but they did what any good promotion would do: grabbed some crawfish and rolled with the punches. Last night’s event narrowed down their finalists for the upcoming middleweight tournament, and they had a bunch of other fights just for fun. Here’s how it went down:

I think i remember hearing that lombard was a bad ass but couldn't fight in america cause hes cuban, maybe its the wrong guy. its hard to give a shit about fights that you have no chance of watching fuck bellator.

Bellator is the little promotion that could. They make interesting fights and have some crazy finishes so far, not to mention their owners are actually competent and understand sports marketing. When it gets on a better network, Bellator is going to become a nice change of pace from the UFC.

I was at the fights last night. They were great. Lombard is a beast. He destroyed stelly. Ring and Leonhardt are up and comers, look like they have a shot to do something. Really good fights though. 40 bucks gets you ringside, thats hard to beat.
