I meant online. They're televised here on "the score" I believe.

I think Fox Sports carries it in whatever region you are in. I can get it on Fox Sports Arizona. The last one was delayed by a D-Backs game that went into extra innings...

It was on the NBC affiliate here in the mid-west, so if anybody gets the St. Louis channels, it's on 5, or at least it was that night. Pretty late, too. It was after SNL was on.

"...booing Carl like he cunt punted a ring girl..." Damn! You can't just drop things like that! I lost my breath for a second. I think that's the first time I choke on a laugh. I think the phrase "cunt punt" will stay with me forever.

The Bermuda Triangle....that's beautiful!

The problem with renaming the moves is that people like Guss will never get it right...are you with me on that GBM??
DazedNConfused- April 23, 2010 at 12:27 pm
Where can I watch these fights?
macreadysshack- April 23, 2010 at 10:09 am
ReX, you should re-name every single move/position that Eddie Bravo has christened, write a book and start a counter culture counter culture. Because why the fuck not.

Bellator fights are pretty sick, especially when your three rows up from the cage. that was the second time i saw the fights at mohegan, but the first time i went i got to see the inverted triangle. that was nutty.

but the heelhook seemed a little bogus. im a bjj guy, but it seems like he took the easy way out when he dropped back and took the leg. but a win is a win?

Zee German>> Thanks, man. I worry sometimes that people get tired of seeing me post, but i enjoy writing and enjoy the outlet. And i appreciate every single "+1", "lol", and "good job".

@ReX13
"... and Romero is all: dude, wtf, i really don't care which side my feet are--ow ow OW OOWWW. *tapping frantically*"

Great wrap up, dude.
Keep 'em coming.

ReX13- April 23, 2010 at 8:52 am
rlh61>> Yeah, when i saw highlights from last season, particularly the Imada inverted flying reverse triangle thingie*, i thought two things:

1) i didn't know you could do that

and

2) why am i not watching this?

*can we call this the Bermuda Triangle? Cause that would be dope.
ReX13- April 23, 2010 at 8:43 am
War Hornbuckle! I have to support my boys from NC, plus i'm pretty sure my dad's side of the family has some native blood, even if they won't admit it. He went from head-kicking Gono into Retartville to easily locking up a triangle that looked like a garden spider wrapping up dinner.

***

Good on Thomas. He was in trouble early, but he fended off multiple attempts at RNCs and came back to whup Tick Tock. McClintock wins the "coolest nickname" prize--and a ticket back to the gym.

***

Damn son, the crowd was booing Carl like he cunt punted a ring girl and ate a candy-coated panda fetus. WTF people--maybe you didn't hear the thirty times you were informed that he was an Army sergeant and Iraq vet?!??

***

Welterweight semis better be Hornbuckle v Carl (Hornbuckle for sho) and Askren v Thomas (Thomas wants that revenge bad, y'all). And i'm sure that Rebney will make it happen. UPDATE: Ryan Thomas is claiming (via the UG) that his rematch is official for 20 May in Dallas. So, yeah...

***

Was NOT impressed with Romero, who watched Pitbull jockey for heel hooks like he was going to pull a rabbit out of nowhere. Pitbull finally gets the inverted heel hook, and Romero is all: dude, wtf, i really don't care which side my feet are--ow ow OW OOWWW. *tapping frantically*

***

In case you can't tell, i am digging Bellator HARD. It kinda reminds me of my early UFC days, where you didn't have a strong idea what to expect, and you weren't familiar with all the fighters and what they brought to the cage. Difference being, these guys are athletic and well-rounded, which makes for some good shows. If i could get it in HD, i'd be happy.
rlh61- April 23, 2010 at 8:31 am
Rex...I was thinking the same thing about it becoming more popular and more available. It seems most of the fights are pretty damn good.

I want to be one of those guys that can say "I've been watching this shit from the very beginning..."
ReX13- April 23, 2010 at 7:57 am
rlh61>> i had to search for it, and yes they stick it in some ricockulous time slots, but DVR FTW. Luckily, it comes on here around 1930. I can get the kid to bed and then start watching DVR and skip all the commercials.

If it makes you feel better, i predict more availability next season. And the season after that, and the season after that...
MaximumSpaniard- April 23, 2010 at 7:47 am
Bellator has become something I absolutely must watch every week. I swear it's like this promotion has the best luck when it comes to entertaining fights. Every single episode I am thoroughly entertained.

Rebney, your promotion kicks ass.
rlh61- April 23, 2010 at 7:47 am
ReX...candy-coated panda fetus...that had me rolling! Great way to start a Friday.

And just how many 'Pitbulls' are there in MMA?? These guys have to get a bit more creative. On a related note, I'll bet there's only one Dreamcatcher...just sayin'...

I've been trying to get into Bellator, but it isn't televised until 10:30 or so...and I have to be up for work by 4:30 so things aren't jivin' for me.
