B.J. Penn Says He Punished KenFlo, But Seems to Generally Like Diego Sanchez

In his recent fights UFC lightweight champ B.J. Penn has fallen into a pattern of making it personal with his opponents before the bout, then embracing them like old friends once he’s beaten them up.  In this video he says he wanted to feed Kenny Florian some extra elbow strikes for making him look like a fool and a liar in the media, because "that’s what I felt he deserved."  This assertion casts Penn as not only the dominant lightweight champ, but also as a sort of avenging angel of justice in his fights.  He’s not just thinking about winning in there; that’s a foregone conclusion.  He’s taking into account your past deeds and considering how much punishment you deserve, which is kind of disturbing and also kind of awesome.

As for Diego Sanchez, Penn may let him off with just a loss.  He can’t think of anything bad to say about the guy, except that he’s a little strange, which Diego will tell you himself.  The real question here is whether Penn will be in the kind of shape to go five rounds with a human perpetual motion machine like "The Nightmare."  He says it won’t be a problem.  He also says his work ethic has never been an issue.  There’s reason to doubt at least one of those claims.

@ArmFarmer Wow! damn thats harsh, ya definitely shady. Ya i would never bet against BJ, however i do believe that this may go the distance. it would be nice to see BJ finally be challenged to some degree instead of just walking over everyone as he has been doing @ lightweight. I appreciate the INFO! hope you get your $

@titoshead

Do not use betus.com they are very shady. I made a 1,000 dollar deposit and they gave me 300 bonus money which I barely looked at I just clicked ok. Apparently there is a stipulation for accepting the money where I'm required to gamble 6,500 worth of bets before I can withdraw ANY of my money. I had never even touched the bonus money and it was sitting in a different account than the rest of the money and I told them to just take it back sense I hand't even touched it and they wouldn't do it they just want me to lose everything. Anyway, I made the 6,500 in bets and was still 4,000 short and they told me that when I make a bet they only count the lesser of the two (bet/payout) towards the roll over so you basically have to bet on 50/50 odds to make any progress. I was up 600 and now I'm back down to the 1,000 I started at and I still have to gamble another few grand before I can withdraw anything. They have been known to do a lot of other shady things as well.

Also, don't bet on Diego that is retarded. Diego has look impressive because he's been fighting guys like clay guida and joe stevenson. Watch Diego vs Stevenson and then Penn vs Stevenson and tell me you think Diego is a good bet. He hasn't faced anyone like BJ before.

I just wanna see BJ knock the dog crap out of Sanchez....with that said i guess guida is next muahahaha

Friendly @UFCFAN
Actually these are two MMA fighters that fight in the UFC= MMA first and foremost.
Joe Daddy serves as a litmus test of sorts for this fight, he serves as a comparison as both Penn and Sanchez have went with him in the past. To clarify, Diego did by no means 'destroy' Stevenson like Penn did, please go look at the fights if that is what you really believe. I saw Joe having a laugh with 15 seconds remaining in his fight with Sanchez, even though he lost he was laughing and willing to stand and trade with Diego. When BJ fought Joe, you couldn't really make out any facial expressions on Joe Daddy before he finally TAPPED OUT.
Do you know that a guy named Freddie Roach said BJ's got the best boxing in MMA, not just the UFC. I love Diego, he made a fight with Clay Guida worth watching, he it's just a matter of time until he is champion, it's just not going to happen on the 12th of this month.
It's my humble opinion that BJ will win at lightweight, BJ ends fights at lightweight, Sanchez does not. Sanchez is no GSP!

UFC Fan, Judging from your name I'm guessing you watch the UFC. But everything you wrote about this upcoming fight sort of suggests otherwise.

Also, what the hell does "walking an ass mudhole dry" even entail? I guess I don't really want to know, I'll settle for just watching it not happen on Dec 12..."

How exactly does chosing diego over BJ make you think I don't watch UFC? Are you such a BJ homer that you think because anyone would pick another fighter over BJ the whiner and crybaby penn that they don't watch anything UFC related? Are you retarded?
And the saying is " stomp a mudhole in your ass...and walk it dry" not that stupid shit you pieced together, and if you can't figure out its is a southern saying or figure out what it even means then you really need to go get an education.

Penn get's this one....Stevenson(Joe Daddy) already had his nightmare starring BJ before he fought Diego Sanchez, it ended with him bloody bloody and gasping for air. The Nightmare does not have the power in the stand up(BJ can take a shot in case you were wondering) and on the ground is how BJ got his nickname. This will be a great fight for all FANS of mma and not just fans of the UFC, enjoy."

I happen to NOT believe that Penn has this. and what does Joe daddy have to do with this fight, Diego destroyed him like Penn did, so what? Stevenson doesn't have half the striking ability that Diego does. Diego will be bigger, stronger and faster. The only advantage Penn has is in the ground game, but Diego is no slouch, and he will power out of anything Penn trys, just like GSP did to BJ. BJ had NO answer for GSP, and he will have about the same for Diego...nothing.
Since these 2 are UFC fighters it will be a great fight for UFC fans first and formost.

BJ Penn is going to drink a gallon of nightmare blood.

This is gonna be a WAR, between looney ass YES YES YES Diego and but licking catch me on BJ penn.com as I run outta the gym Penn I expect fireworks and crazyness to insue! Maybe the UFC can spin off and make it a sitcom.
Two of my fav fighters both are game on the feet and on the mat, I'm excited and happy this ones gonna go down.

^ Good point about Marv. He's not exactly father of the year, but he gets results apparently.
steampunk22- December 1, 2009 at 1:47 pm
If the BJ that showed up against KenFlo shows up against Sanches, Sanchez is fucked. Marv Marinovich is a nutjob but one hell of a good trainer and he can unleash the beast like nobody else as far as a fighters potential goes.

That being said, if the BJ that showed up against GSP shows up against Sanchez, give it to the Nightmare.

But I dont think we'll be seeing that BJ again anytime soon. Marinovich is gonna crack that whip.

lol, well said.

Penn's such a wildcard. You never know what you're going to get. I'd never put money on him unless I was getting really good odds.
exes.for.iballs- December 1, 2009 at 1:26 pm
And here I was hopin to watch Diego get pounded into submission.

Oh well, I'll be content just to see another loss on his record.

No Screw Dirty Sanchez instead!

Anyone who refers to himself as the third person is a Douche Nozzle Cleaner.

Google that Shit!

skeletor- December 1, 2009 at 1:12 pm
BJ is gonna take this one. Maybe not easily but I think he's done enough in his last few fights to quiet the critics. Everyone thinks they have him figured out until it comes time to actually do it. I don't see Diego being the almighty answer here.
NateGetsIrate- December 1, 2009 at 1:11 pm
Who to root for? "Poor Sport" Penn or "Looney Tunes" Sanchez?
agentsmith- December 1, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Remember the story of how BJ woke up hungover the day after his 28th birthday and realized that he needed to seriously crank it up if he wanted to reach his potential? Now he says his work ethic has never been an issue. Which is it?

NVR mind.. betus.com has it -300 Bj +220 Diego. Bout what i figured
UFC fan- December 1, 2009 at 1:00 pm
B.J. doesn't have anything bad to say because he knows that anything he says will fuel Diego even more to stomp a mudhole in his ass and walk it dry.
BJ is scared, and well he should be, he is about to get abused come the 12th of December.
Titos Head- December 1, 2009 at 12:57 pm
Does anyone know if the odds are out yet? I don't see Diego as much of an underdog. Hes looked impressive in his last fights. Would be nice to see this one go the distance.
MyFightWiffaCheeto- December 1, 2009 at 12:56 pm
A little strange?

Dude snorts Stevia with Danny Quinn and pays money to see Tony Robbins.
