I hate that Brock really doesnt have any abilities (besides a bit of wrestling) that arent based on pure strength. his striking is not that great or technical and no ground game to speak of. You try reffing some fight where the dude on top is just throwing buckets and buckets of wild hammerfists. Steve could tell that Lesnar was throwing those without any regard for where they were landing. There is a difference between a guy in half-guard of full mount throwing aimed, downward punches and some demon-possessed giant throwing 40 wild hammerfists in 18 seconds without regard to what or where his punches are landing. Whether any actually land or not, Steve doesn’t have the benefit of slow-motion hindsight. He’s got to protect the fighters. Rather than just throwing punches like the Tasmanian devil, how’s about striking in such a way that it appears you have some regard for the rules?

Furthermore… Lesnar took Mir down once and pounded him. It’s his own fault that he didn’t do it again. Putting any blame on Maz in this situation is arguable at best and just plain lame at worst.

Is it not 4 quick consecutive taps to tap out? I see steve wait for the 4th tap. Brock should know tapping out is slapping ass but quick tap of the opponent, or even the canvas…hell verbal taps work too. Slow ass pat is not a tap out.
Though the stand up was BS. You gotta give warnings, especially when the hit comes as a result of the opponent trying to avoid a flurry. Maybe if it was intentional, or something repeated throughout the match.
