Brockwatch: Lesnar Out of Surgery, Feeling Better

And so the Brock Lesnar illness saga continues.  According to Dana White’s Twitter, the UFC heavyweight champ is out of "minor surgery" and beginning to feel better.  Since the surgery was presumably designed to help deal with a bacterial infection in his intestinal tract, it’s hard to imagine that there could anything too minor about it.   Where I come from, wisdom tooth extraction = minor, anything having to do with intestines = major.

At least the surgery sounds like it went well and now White can finally get out of Bismarck.  Meanwhile, every other fighter in the UFC is forced to ask himself, what would it take for Dana to come visit me in a place like North Dakota?  The answer, of course, depends on who you are.  Georges St. Pierre?  Probably wouldn’t take much more than a mild heart attack.  Tito Ortiz?  There’d better be some exposed brain matter involved.  Kendall Grove?  Unless aliens show up and declare him their emperor for life, DW isn’t even getting out of bed.

Good for Brock. I'm sure it means the world for him that Dana is there at his bed side. I'm sure it has everything to do with friendship and nothing to do with protecting his investments.

You know, Dana coming to Bismarck really didn't help him protect his cash cow at all. He just as easily could have talked to the doctors and tweeted from the comfort of his own office while enjoying some Pinkberry. It's possible he was just doing a decent thing for one of his fighters who may or may not have been dying from a previously mysterious illness. All this talk of what an evil business man Dana is just getting immature.

Thats really too bad about the Brock. I hope he pulls through and gets better first, and then gets back in the game when he's ready.

@fACE7biter Or he wanted to be the first to tweet about Brock's death. However you want to look at, whatever.h

Dana White had to travel to Bismark ND with a big suitcase full of money to pay for Cock Chestnar's medical bills...most ufc fighters probably don't have health insurance on account of their profession. or it's VERY expensive. but if i get sick and a company needs me as bad as ufc needs chestnar, i say pay for all my expenses bitch! and give my wife an updated boob job and botox while you're at it.

"Where I come from, wisdom tooth extraction = minor, anything having to do with intestines = major." LOL. Man, you guys are cynical. I'm not a big fan of Mr. White, but I do think he sees Lesnar as more than just a unit of production. Call me a sucker, but I believe White actually cares a bit about Brock's welfare.

I can see Dana nervously pacing the halls, head shiny with nervous sweat. As each nurse passes, he clutches at the crook of their arm, "Is he ok? What's the prognosis? CAN I SEE HIM??" Then a muffled reply from the other side of the door, " Quit crying you homo, and bring me a Coors...No, not the pussy light beer, BANQUET ONLY!!" Something like that.

@baldmidget P. T. Barnum, Jr. LOL! Do I have your permission to use that name from now on whenever I refer to Dana White?

Shit! If I was in the hospital, sick as a dog, the last person I'd wanna see is my boss. If he wants to pay the bill, call and give them the UFC accountant's phone number. Don't show up and make things worse.

Speaking of dumb ass Kendall Grove, does anyone agree he should change his dumb ass nickname? First of all, Anderson Silva has had the nickname "The Spider" for YEARS. Why Kendall Grove has his nickname as "Da Spyder" is so fucking dumb. Who in their right mind would steal someone elses nickname, and switch up the spelling to make it their own? Answer: Tito Ortiz's training partner.
