Heads up: In the wake of Affliction and WEC’s shows last weekend, we’ve updated our heavyweight, light-heavyweight, and featherweight Power Rankings. Every top-ten list has been updated at least once this month, so swing by and get to debating/complaining, and be sure to check in again next week as UFC 94 may have significant impact on the welterweight and light-heavyweight lists. Fighters that are sitting just outside the rankings include…

i think bisping would beat maia.i dont get why people r jumping on his dick yes he is got good jits and thats it this aint ufc 1.the mathlete took it to him for a while at his own game and nate was shit.i think bisping would smother him and tko his ass.

It looks like you have to update it some more, no way Jake shields is above Fitch Kos and Sanchez, Babalu should be higher up, and Rua should be way lower.

i dont get how mike brown is rated ahead of faber in the featherweight rankings but somehow faber is ranked in the p4p rankings and brown is not

So after reviewing these new rankings, all i seem to ask is "where the fuck have I been?"
...seriously, Matt Brown and Macheeeeeeeta . . P4P?? I feel so outta the loop now. Just to mention a few that stand out to me that should be ranked pretty high would be fighters like Overeem or Sergei Kharitonov or Melvin Manhoef.

but wat do I know, im just an E-thug from L.A.

@ rh:Good points about Belfort/Bisping.  Belfort has only had two fights at MW, while Bisping has had three, which is why Bisping is more on my radar right now.  But honestly, both of them need a few more fights in that weight class before I'd think of them as top ten.@ Rault:I haven't updated the pound-for-pound list since New Year's Day...but I'm tempted to agree with you.@ walrus:Mike Brown is the #1 featherweight right now. He's actually not on the P4P list, but he's close by default.

i think cage potato's ranking are the most accurate except how jake sheilds is ahead of fitch? i hate sheilds. but the light heavy weight rankings is the most accurate list of them all

Almost had respect for your rankings until I saw A. Silva ahead of Fedor in P4P. What the fuck are you thinking? Can you at least give us an explanation? There is not one single reason I can think of why you would do that. Fedor just beat 2 top 5 heavyweights while Anderson beat an unranked middleweight and an unranked light heavyweight. Fedor beat both his opponents in the first round while the middleweight A. Silva fought took him to the third if I can remember correctly. Fedor has more wins over ranked opponents and hasn't lost yet while A. Silva has fewer wins over ranked opponents and has lost 4 times. I have no idea what you are thinking. That is all.

what fedor does after ever fight once he wins the old fist pump alone makes him the p4p champ. He realizes in his head that the fight was easy therefore a fist pump is all that is required. Anderson silva dancing isn't as bad as the guys who go and jump on the top of the ring or cage. Almost like they are so suprised to have actually won the fight, fedor only puts both hands up on the roller coaster, pretty sure thats only so he doesn't sumbit or break it.

I think when fedor fought those guys you named was when they were good if they fought them now he would crush them all in a single night. Your statement makes no sense, I don't want to get into verbal typing fight cause you may kick my ass. My typing skills are quite as good as they were in 2005 when I was open weight class intenet blogging champ. It's been over three years since I have out typed anybody good.

on Belfort...Lindland isn't relevant at MW just because he hasn't been able to fight there much. I don't like him, but he's still very much a threat.

And I think it's funny that people would happily rank Bisping at the fringes of top 10 and dismiss Belfort in the same breath, when Vitor has actually finished better opponents than Bisping has at MW.

I'm a big Vitor fan, I'm hoping with some degree of resolution in his sister's case he's able to put his demons to rest and regain some of his potential. I wouldn't rank him top 10 as of yet, but he's no more than a big win away.


That being said, I was impressed with the CP rankings...I've seen faaar worse by sites that pretend they're more legitimate and straight-news.
