After making my MMA highlight reel debut with "Sakuraba: Survivor," I decided to follow it up with a new compilation that’s both shorter and less depressing. The concept of "Stranglehold" is quite simple: Here are some of the most creative and infamous choke-submissions in recent MMA history, soundtracked by Ted Nugent. The cast of characters include Nate Diaz, Dan Miller, Renato "Babalu" Sobral, Shinya Aoki, BJ Penn, Nick Diaz, Demian Maia, CB Dollaway, and Toby Imada. Let me know what you think, and if you dig it, please share with a friend.

LOVED IT. I'D LOVE TO SEE A FIGHT WITH DAN MILLER AND TOBY IMADA. THOSE TWO CHOKES WERE BY FAR THE BEST ON THE REEL WITH DEMIAN MAIA RIGHT NEXT TO THEM.

that dan miller guillotine is nasty, that dude had drool on his own chest. great video
Mon, 06/15/09 - 02:09
I forgot how nasty that guilliotine from Miller was. Looked like the dude had no bones in his neck. And I hadn't seen any footage of Dollaway's Peruvian necktie before that, either. That is one oddball move.

That's some good shit...next one should be arm submissions. I might just be upset about Hazelett's injury and don't want a yearlong drought of his videos... But he is the best on the ground--Yes, you Maia fans, I like McLovin more...Maia is a close 2nd in my book, and he might be able to put on some performances to catch up a little while Dustin is out with his injuries. He just always seems to be in the back of people's minds, but I think he's unbelievably talented, and that's why I like him.

can u get better quality?

can you go fuck yourself?

Nice video but the last two submissions are easy to escape. The Peruvian Necktie all Jesse Taylor had to do was push CB's right leg from behind his head and he was free, and in top position. The inverted triangle all the guy had to was swim his arm back (like a backstroke) behind the triangle lock and then he could have easily attacked and broken the triangle where it meets at the knee/ankle for the lock.

I've been listening to that song a lot lately and was thinking it's a great entrance song for anyone who likes their chokes/strangles. Although I think the solo goes on a lot longer than it needed to so thanks for cutting it short.

Excellent fucking collection there, and the Song choice was fucking immaculate if I do say so myself. Big fan of the Nuge personally.

Great vid, BG. Are you still sending me my HOF t-shirt?

@Mike Mosher Thats the difference between a high level bjj grappler and their opponent. The awareness of where their body parts are and where the leverage is the weakest.
Mon, 06/15/09 - 03:18
@MikeMosher - That was great input....Shut the fuck up! KTHNXBIA.
Mon, 06/15/09 - 03:59

Mon, 06/15/09 - 06:29
A+ , Keep pumping out the hotness, although there is one glaring ommision in this highlight, the Matt Clark Dan Quinn sub, which in my opinion was a thing of beauty.
