Cain Velasquez’s Video Blog Is More Show Than Tell

Cain Velasquez is a man of few words. Like, very few. Maybe no more than fifteen or twenty throughout this entire six-minute video blog. Actually, that’s not completely true. He does a phone interview at the end and it really jacks up his word count, but those of us who have done writing jobs where we get paid by the word know that trick. You just go back through and add ‘that’ or ‘just’ to every sentence, and before you know it you made yourself an extra thirty bucks.

Really, all we learn about Cain here is that AKA is a non-stop ball-bust-a-thon when Josh Koscheck and Jon Fitch around, he likes to train while listening to the Mexican radio station, and he has an infant daughter who he appears to love. Looks like you’re going to have to do the talking on this one, Ben Rothwell…

does anyone even want to see him fight cain? why is this a marquee event? i don't see the fight proving much unless it is won in a one-sided, convincing fashion. even then DW still needs to bring in the international fighters to make this an interesting weight class. TUF isn't grooming much in the way of talent.

ben needs a twitter account. the 140 character limitation might free up some time for him to train more. he lost to nelson and arlovski and his time in the ufc will be limited, i fear. i wish him well, but he hasn't been very convincing since the midway point of the IFL.

The "Big Country's" of the sport better tighten it up. Ben is right there on the edge of being one of those "fat" fighters too. You gotta do and be better than that in the UFC.

its those quite guys that hurt people!!! they just nod there head then they knock your head clean off your shoulder for running your mouth!!! i would not want to be ben rothwell!!!!!
