If all the fighter appearances, Hall of Fame inductions, grappling superfights, and Kimbo sightings aren't enough of an incentive to check out the UFC Fan Expo (July 10+11, Mandalay Convention Center, Las Vegas), maybe this will convince you. From UFC.com:

It’s the Ultimate gig in the world of sports modeling, and when The Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC®) decided to search for potential new Octagon Girls™, it reached out to the only magazine devoted to discovering new beauty around the world: Maxim, the largest young men’s lifestyle magazine in America. The result? A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for attendees of the UFC® Fan Expo™ to be on hand when the winner of the first-ever Maxim UFC® Octagon Girl™ Search is chosen at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, July 11th, just hours before the lights go down for the biggest event in mixed martial arts history, UFC 100.

With the Aid of Twitter, Arianny Celeste Bravely Chronicles a Life Spent in Bikinis

Arianny Celeste UFC ring girl
(Just killing time between fights at UFC 99. I hear Mike Goldberg spends his down time at events in the exact same way.)

So you thought Twitter was only useful in keeping the world up to date on the civil strife inside Iran?  Not so, my friends.  It can also be used to post pictures of yourself in your capacity as a “professional hot chick," and nobody, but nobody, does that better than Arianny Celeste.  We’ll say this for Arianny’s twitter account: even if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you can be pretty damn sure of what you’re going to find.

After the jump, some of Arianny’s finest moments in the delicate art of taking pictures of herself and then posting them to the internet for no real reason.  Isn't it nice to know that one social networking site can serve the interests of democracy and gawking at attractive women in bikinis all at once?  What an exciting time to be alive.

Hot Potato: Playboy Model LaTasha Marzolla Wins MMA Debut

Latasha Marzolla

Former Playboy model turned fighter LaTasha Marzolla won her MMA debut this weekend in Las Vegas, beating on Christy Tada until Tada's corner called a stop to it after one round at Saturday night’s Tuff-N-Uff event.  Guess you do learn a thing or two being best buds with Gina Carano.  As you can see, Marzolla isn’t built like the typical female MMA fighter (NSFW photographic evidence here) but she’s still not worried about getting her pretty face smashed in, much to the surprise of Steve Cofield, who had her on his radio show last week.  Marzolla brought along her Xtreme Couture trainer, Shawn Tompkins, and Cofield proved that he really knows women, or at least how to make broad generalizations about what’s important to them with this write-up:

“It takes a unique woman to want to compete in mixed martial arts. So much of a female's self-esteem is based on looks, to risk having your face disfigured takes some guts.”

Real nice, Cofield.  Everybody remember to tune in to next week’s show to find out what is universally important to your demographic.  After the jump, video of Marzolla from the bizarrely cheesy movie “Ring Girls” for you to watch while you contemplate whether Marzolla’s entrance into MMA means she’s a threat to steal Carano’s unofficial title of ‘hottest female fighter.’

Hot Potato: Miesha Tate

 Miesha Tate

Yeah, that's Miesha Tate showing off some of her assets (hi-yo!) in the new issue of Fight! Magazine.  She might not flaunt it as much as some others, but Tate is another female fighter who is both way too tough and way too good-looking for us.  Does that make us sad?  A little, yeah.  But this picture helps ease the pain.  If only we'd known how fine she was when we talked to her a couple of weeks ago, we could have really worked the old magic.  And by magic we mean been really weird and creepy.  Missed opportunity, there.

More Tate hotness is after the jump, and way more in this month's issue of Fight!, which coincidentally also features an article by yours truly on everyone's favorite mustache ride-offering hard-ass, Don Frye.  Check it out.
