Steroids in MMA
Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Chuck Liddell Says He Isn’t Fighting Silva or Couture, But Will Fight…Someone. In the Spring.

In this video interview with Fighters Only, Chuck Liddell shoots down rumors that he may face Anderson Silva in February or Randy Couture in June, saying that a potential fourth fight with Couture, “doesn’t make sense.”  He seems to have his sights set on a fight some time in March or April.  The opponent sounds less important to him than the date, but then that story could change once he sits down with Dana White and looks at his options.

Liddell also makes the case for continuing his career after the knockout loss to Rashad Evans, pointing out that he was winning the fight (technically true, since not much had happened) before getting caught with Evans’ brutal right hand.

Fair enough, but he has to realize that the situation will only become more desperate if he can’t notch a win in this mystery bout in the spring.  As long as he’s turning down interesting possible fights for himself, he might as well throw out a name or two of someone he would like to fight.   And don’t say James Irvin.  Just please, don’t.

@ Kevbo
You think James Irvin can knock Chuck out?????????? Sounds like you're the idiot.
Dagnut- December 5, 2008 at 6:16 am
I Think it will be Rampage no matter what, we can all pontificate on what fair and what's best for the division..but after Rampages loss to Silva he'll be in limbo like chuck..chuck will want to avenge his losses..jackson will think he can beat him they'll both take the fight and UFC makes big payperview using it to prop up maybe the silva v evans title fight who knows

i think vera should be chucks next opponent ... and if he loses, its over for him.
Kevbo- December 4, 2008 at 2:11 pm
Yeah he should probably not fight James Irvin because he would get knocked out again. I love how people can think James is a joke when he is actually a good fighter... idiots.

@ K & K.E.G.
Wells said guys! I agree with both of you.

I also think that Chuck is a warrior, and deserves respect whether he wins or loses his next fight. Retirement should be a decision he should make when he's ready, not one he is forced into by a bunch of people that have never even stepped into a ring of any kind. Good luck Chuck.

Well, I wanna see Chuck grow his hair out. Seriously Chuck, the mohawk/sagging belly look just isn't cutting it anymore.
Justin- December 4, 2008 at 12:57 pm
I like James Irvin.....

Surfin Dave- December 4, 2008 at 12:25 pm
Hmmm, maybe Chuck can be Rickson Gracie's first opponent in the UFC.

I am badass, just wait and see what comment I throw out next!
Geriatric Peon- December 4, 2008 at 11:53 am
I have noticed on the side bar "most recent comments" there are a lot of BS spam comments going up on older posts. Do those ever work as ads or is it just some pimple covered losers attempt at being cool by fucking with the man?
bfoulkes- December 4, 2008 at 11:30 am
Nope CP never gets any of it's own material. It's the best MMA site for absolutely no reason. Get a life dumbass.
Anonymous- December 4, 2008 at 11:12 am
Does this site ever get it's own material. or at least get it when it is still news. they need to hire me to steal others pages news while it's still new

Winner of Franklin v Hendo
Winner of Rampage Silva
all interesting fights. 205 is stacked and he can beat or hang with anybody in there. The bottom line is he has to string some wins together and with such a high profile name as he has and the stiff competition in that weight class thats easier said then done.
Farthammer- December 4, 2008 at 11:05 am
First of all, remember when BloodyElbow threw a hissyfit about getting credit for breaking the "Chuck vs. Couture 4 is being discussed" "story"? Yeah, that was funny.

Also, anytime Chuck fights it seems a title shot is within reach. Dana doesn't know how to quit him.
drummer- December 4, 2008 at 11:02 am
Definetly I would like to see Chuck kick the crap out of Vera.
Shawn- December 4, 2008 at 11:02 am
I'd say Chuck fights the winner of Franklin/Hendo which would NOT be a number one contender bout but would put the winner in a number one contender bout - meaning Chuck has to win at least two fights in a row before fighting for that belt again.

If he were to beat the Franklin/Hendo winner and then somebody like Machida or a rematch with Jardine, Silva, or Rashad, I think at that point we could all agree a title shot would be warranted.
K.E.G.- December 4, 2008 at 10:56 am
What about Vera? They both have a common loss and Vera called him out after one of his first fights in the UFC. Best case scenario is Vera loses and goes away from the UFC forever. Worst case scenario Vera wins Chuck retires and due to Vera's over inflated sense of self worth he fights a truely devastating gets beat and drummed out of the UFC forever. At this point I'm willing to sacrefice an aging Liddell to get rid of truth forever.
mayhem420- December 4, 2008 at 10:51 am
I'd like to see Chuck take on the winner of Franklin/Hendo
With the winner of that fight getting a title #1 contender shot.

Maybe something like this:

Rampage vs Wandy - winner gets a shot at .....
Current LHW champ (Forrest or Rashad)

Franklin vs Hendo - winner gets a shot at......
Chuck... winner of that gets the next shot at who ever is the current LHW champ.
