I kind of figured Tiki Ghosn was dead weight on Team Rampage’s staff, but in this clip from next week’s episode of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights, he proves himself to be a very patient and encouraging teacher. Kimbo Slice is a sponge during his extra lessons on the ground-game, and you have to admit, his reversal at the -0:50 mark is as smooth as Country Crock. Rampage says he sees himself in Kimbo, and wants to show him a few things that worked in his own fights. Hopefully the extra attention proves useful, because his housemates are gunning for him in episode 2. As the narrator intones at the end, "is it time for Kimbo Slice to finally step into the Octagon?" No, probably not yet, but why else would you tune in?
In this clip from Spike’s Countdown to UFC 103 special, we learn that Junior Dos Santos‘s nickname comes from a Brazilian soap opera character who wore his long hair in a pony tail. Dos Santos keeps his hair short these days, and yet the nickname haunts him. On Saturday night he’ll be taking on Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, who wants to prove that his time isn’t over yet. Keep your eyes open at the 5:20 mark at you’ll see that Cro Cop is training at the "Van Damme & Cro Cop Team" gym. So JCVD still gets top billing, just for winning one measly kumite? commentsOk smart ass lets hear your reasoning as to why I would post on a website where nobody has any idea who I am and lie about something that's completely meaningless to begin with just for the hell of it?
I mean I guess it is pretty rediculous that an mma fan would dislike a ghetto street brawler that only fights completely talentless scrubs and walks around like he's the baddest man on the planet. It's also pretty far fetched that, once said street brawler realized that he isn't as tough as he thought he was and decides to apply himself and really learn mma and fight legitimate mma fighters, that same mma fan would have a change of heart and start rooting for him. Both completely ludicrous scenarios if you ask me.
Yeah I was totally lieing out my ass on that one, nice catch. Dick.
But the guy pretty much told Bas Rutten to go fuck himself when he was training with him and that he "didn't wanna learn none of that grappling shit".
I also get a kick out of watching him try to become a mixed martial artist and work on his many weaknesses. Betcha the guy is cool as shit.
Rampage is such an idiot.
I love you too Rampage Jackson.
That would be one scary couple. On a serious note, I think it is cool that Rampage is taking Kimbo under his wing. Tito Ortiz did the same thing to Matt Hamill on season 3. That brings one question to mind: If Kimbo is this season's Matt Hamill, who will be the jealous Michael Bisping of the bunch? Right now, it seems like everybody.
