‘Countdown to UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem’ Full Episode [VIDEOS]

FUEL TV aired the latest UFC Countdown special last night, previewing next Friday’s UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem pay-per-view card. The stuff about Brock Lesnar‘s latest recovery from diverticulitis and new love of swimming is fairly straightforward — once again, Pat Barry is on hand talk about what a monster Brock is — but if you’re a fan of Alistair Overeem, the look back at his rise in the sport and his career rebirth after a rough stretch in his personal/professional life is worth watching. Overeem’s sights are now set on a UFC belt to complete his collection; of course, Brock Lesnar is just as motivated to defend his turf and play the spoiler in the Reem’s Octagon debut.

Part two of the special is after the jump, featuring more tough talk from Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone and Nate “Not Your Friend, Buddy” Diaz, and a look at the redneck paradise of Cerrone’s New Mexico ranch.

just watched vid. All that working out and horse meat made reem's head bigger, not just the 40lbs of muscle he added. I cant wait until they start testing for hgh. what a goof.

@Get Off Me - I agree with everything you said, with the caveat that I don't think that under ALL circumstances, 'If Brock gets the fight to the ground it’s over for Alistair'. Alaistar has a good top game and can land hellishly powerful shots if he's remotely postured above his opponent. I do agree that Alaistar is going to have a hard time getting up with Brock on top. I think he WILL get up the first time or two but it's going to put his tiny little gas tank on empty. Yeah, if it ends in the first I think it's 80% likely that Ubereem won. After that, it's 90% likely that Brock won. And I'm an Overeem fan.

As I said a long time ago, Overeem wins if the fight ends in the first round. Brock will win if the fight gets out of the first round.
Brock turtles when he gets hit. Brock may catch a a viscious knee early and be swarmed by the Reem leading to a stoppage.
If Brock gets the fight to the ground it's over for Alistair, especially if the fight goes a few rounds.
I think Nate Diaz as the underdog beats Cerrone, Nate's no joke at 155.

according to the video, he didn't even know that he and cerrone were scheduled to fight each other at that point. it was just the possibility that someday, somewhere down the line there might be a chance that they would fight each other, which is even more insane when you think about it. Theoretically, any of us could eventually get in a fight with just about anybody we ever meet under the right circumstances. If the Diaz's were capable of logic, under their own set of rules they'd be slapping away anybody who ever tries to shake their hands. That includes other fighters, Dana White, fans...anybody.

Seriously, danomite, wtf is wrong with Nate and Nick. Why do they HAVE TO hate someone to fight them in the cage. That's a sign of real mental migitity to me. It's a fucking sport. Sure, get yourself motivated, fire yourself up but do you have to be total asshat? What does he lose by shaking Cerrone's hand and saying, 'dude, it's good to meet you but I got to keep it real for me. I don't want to talk to you until the fight's over. Respect and until then . . .' Does that just take all the stiff out of him? Is he that mentally weak? I just think it's kind of pathetic.

Do you think tate would have taken what Brock did to get Carwin to that point? Anybody could have beaten carwin in round 2, but almost nobody woulda made it to round 2 after that beating. That's all im saying.

Watch the Carwin fight again, he hung in there and overcame adversity. I agree, Cain made him look bad, but I don't think he was ever looking for a way out. He just got his ass kicked. Now watch overeem/shogun or overeem/arona. Those were pathetic. Overeem starts getting gnp'd and all he wants is out, even if it means tapping to non-fight finishing strikes.

The only way Brock is a competitive fighter is if he is on juice and enters the octagon at 290 pounds. I think Brock is scared and will look out of place fighting the Reem.

I agree man if Brock can get him down he should win this fight. But to say that brock has the will to win is a little much. I mean if he had the will to win he would have beat can. Look at Shogun vs Hendo those guys have the "will" to win. Im not knocking you bro just don't believe Lesner has any idea of the term "Will"

I agree 100% with armfarmer about overeem/lesnar, so on to the cerrone/diaz fight. Why does Nate keep getting labeled as the 'nice' diaz? Is it comparative, as in 'well nate's a piece of shit, but compared to nick he's a saint'? What kind of cocksucker slaps slaps away someone's hand when they introduce themselves to you? I Hope Cerrone destroys him.

God I wish I didn't agree with you, ArmFarmer. I want the old school MMA striker behemoth to win so bad but I honestly don't think he has a chance if this goes into round 2. Yeah, Brock actually has some good cardio, and I think his will to win is stronger than Overeem's too. He didn't look too good against cain, but he also took a lot of shots. He took an absolute beating from Carwin, standing and on the ground, and came back to win. He also has a way way more impressive list of opponents at hw. I think Brock exposes overeem and destroys him. This is his fight to lose.
