Which MMA Fighter Will Test Positive For Steroids Next?

Dana White Would Like You to Temper Your Expectations for the Rest of ‘TUF 10′

Kimbo Slice TUF 10 Ultimate Fighter UFC

It wasn’t long ago that Dana White was telling us that The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights was "some of the best television ever." (Ever! Right up there with the Newhart finale!) But after three weeks, reality is beginning to set in. What we’ve gotten, above everything else, is three embarassingly bad fights: Jon Madsen‘s one-sided takedown clinic against the hapless Abe Wagner, James McSweeney‘s sloppy and questionably deserved decision win over Wes "Wheezy" Shivers, and Roy Nelson‘s methodical, anti-climactic TKO of Kimbo Slice. It’s a shame that all those new viewers haven’t seen any quality MMA matches so far. Well, Dana feels your pain, and recently jumped on the Real Talk Express with Yahoo!’s Kevin Iole:

“The fight (between Slice and Nelson) sucked. I wasn’t happy with any of the fights the first three weeks, to be honest. I was disappointed by the way we came out of the gate in terms of the fights. But the fights really get better. By episode 8, believe me when I tell you, you’re going to be going wild.”

Wait a minute, so the next four episodes suck too? Does this mean that when <SPOILERS>Kimbo replaces a feverish Marcus Jones in the next episode to take on Brendan Schaub</SPOILERS>, that fight’s no good either? Cripes. It doesn’t help that this season — like last season — isn’t offering much in the way of entertaining personalities or house drama. (Why The A-Hole Show hasn’t gotten any screen time yet is anybody’s guess.) Marcus is a black dude who loves flowers and 20-sided-dice? Oooooooh! Piss in a fucking fruit tray or stop wasting my time, okay?

I had such high hopes for this season, only to have them bashed apart by the rocks of reality. I never thought I would long for a double decker or jiz sushi moment. I never thought i would hope for a HW browning brother.

The fights so far started out pathetic. Abe "turtle on his back" wagner. The gasfest fight two, where a strong breeze might have toppled both fighters, and the judges obviously didnt watch round one. Then, in fight three, we get to see big oily beard black jesus crucified. Oh TUF, what happened to thee?

The only reason "the fight (between Slice and Nelson) sucked" is because Kimbozo sucked. Nelson may not have much finesse, but he beat his opponent fair and square. What was White expecting, Fedor vs. Lesnar?

There's no pleasing some people. Didn't everyone on this site criticise TUF for spending too much time focusing on stupid pranks, juvenile behaviour, tedious bickering between morons and subtitling British people for no reason?

Yeah, there's a lot of crap in there do you know why? Because you watch it for MMA and there's a maximum of 15 minutes of that in a show, generally less than 10. I'd love it if every episode was like the first two episodes of the last few seasons which was pretty much nothing but fights, but it's not going to happen. TUF is like a porn film with too much dialog; I'm not interested in anyone developing their characters and badly acted exposition. I just want to crack one off during the action...

Wait. That doesn't sound right.

I think Tank Abbott handed on the "torch" to Kimbo Slice for being a one dimensional fighter that's fun to watch but not someone to put your money on.

"But will Kimbo ever be at rest ....? " Its certainly looking that way !

BTW Shave the goatee Abbott !

Never should have picked Heavyweights to begin with. It's too difficult to find good ones. Hell, the last HW winner was Rashad and he's starting to look like he's moving down to 185 so he can fight Bisping again in a "Douche against Douche" fight to be reffed by Jon Gosselin wearing Ed Heardy T-shirts.

We've clearly established that the Cage Potato readers, and MMA fans in general, prefer their fights to be as racist and homosexual as possible.

What is keeping this show from reaching its potential? "Titties" Schoover.

Dana just told us all that he'll be fighting on week 8.

Anyone else think Kimbo's Tatt's look like skywriting at night ?

"Piss in a fucking fruit tray or stop wasting my time, okay?" I'm pretty sure that's what I fucking do it already!!

Isn't it pretty standard for the first half of the fights to kind of suck as all the shitty people get weeded out? Then later in the show when mostly just good fighters are left is when they start getting good? I'm sure it will pick up.

Btw those were pretty weak spoiler warnings.. by the time you read the words "spoilers" you've already seen what's inbetween.. but as long as I don't know the outcome of the fights I'm satisfied.

Shut up Dana with your bald head and girly name ... you lied to us.

"Just hang in there, give me a few more minutes and you will be going wild"

i think Dana is mixing up his fans with his sex life.

I heard kimbo gets beat in the first and shaves his beard and reenters himself in the tournament as Terd Ferguson.
