If you watched Dana White on ESPN “E:60” last night, you may be asking yourself, what happened to that hatchet job he was so convinced they were doing on him? Turns out it was a pretty fair, though not all that groundbreaking a look at the UFC president, focusing on the evolution of the UFC and some of his more aggressive business strategies. Here’s him going back and forth, yet again, with Tito Ortiz, in which Ortiz’s verbal dyslexia rises to the surface and Dana screws up the phrase ‘I couldn’t care less.’ (Dammit Dana, when you say ‘I could care less,’ you’re implying that you care and are thus using it to mean the exact opposite of what you intend. Come on, you’re better than that.)

does anybody else hate E:60? it just seems like the journalists are being a bit self indulgent. do you really have a big enough problem making your content compelling enough on its own that you need to show us the process of writing a sub par story? shouldn't the process just be displayed through quality content? now i have to deal with reality journalism and be told it's great programming just because it's on ESPN and they have amazing fucking post production skills.

I thought they did a hatchet job like he said. A lot of his explanations that they showed in the internet previews were completely cut. It seemed like the message was "here's Dana swearing and a bunch of people that don't like him." Also, Pat Miletich saying that Dana has never told him the truth? I don't really have a problem with the way Dana speaks. I cuss, and so does most of the rest of the people in this country, including Goodell, Stern, and all of these other tight wads that act all fake in front of the cameras because of the FCC. Yes, everyone's heard both phrases, but the way (most) Americans currently say "I could care less" is incorrect. It's grammatically incorrect, even if it is accepted, which is debatable. Saying "who" in the place of "whom" is generally accepted even when it's grammatically incorrect. "I could care less" was intended to be sarcastic, meaning "as if I could possibly care any less." Unfortunately, most people don't give the shortened version the obvious sarcastic inflection it requires, and because so many people don't know anything about the origin of the phrase, it loses it's meaning in writing.

I like Dana's response to the reporter giving him shit about his harsh language, when he says "I mean, we're all grown-ups here..." Does Dana not realize that grown-ups don't use a different swearword every other word in a sentence? Maybe from the ages 15 to 21 that is acceptable. You are a 40 year old business man, act like one. Its called class, it can do wonders for your image. If people want others to start showing respect for MMA fighters, they need a representative that will show that they aren't a bunch of meat-head red-necks, and Dana isn't really filling the role.
