We told you Diego Sanchez was a little bit weird, but you just wouldn’t believe us. Maybe you’ll change your mind once you see his pre-UFC 107 video blog, in which he plays with an iguana to help his reflexes. Not that we don’t respect his positive attitude. I mean, the guy’s car breaks down on the side of the road and he breaks into song. Although it’s still unclear how he turned that particular negative into a positive. From what we can tell, it was pretty much all negative. Sure, he got a ride in someone else’s Toyota Yaris, but those of us who have driven a Yaris know damn well that it’s basically one step up from those Flintstones cars, if that. At least those things looked heavy enough that you didn’t have to worry about a strong wind sweeping you off the road.

As weird as Diego Sanchez is, he does seem like a likeable guy. His positivity and belief in himself are inspiring. Though sometimes, I gotta wonder just how much his reality differs from the rest of ours....

I think his weirdness stems from succeeding while in his state of mind. He was probably the weird guy when he was younger, but always succeded in everything he did which feuled his belief that off-the-rockers prevail... Now, compare it to my eroded weirdness and it'll make some sort of sense (to me anyways). When I was in high school, I was semi-diego weird but I sucked at everything and all it got me was hand jobs from uglies and social mockery... I think Diego has A.D.D but because he became a fighter instead of a rocket scientist he never had to correct it. He uses his extra burst of manic energy toward an aggressive behavior and normal people cannot handle that, now that he has professional training he is dangerous, and I think he will walk through blowjob penn on the 12th.

I'll agree Diego has looked fantastic lately.. against clay guida. But Bj is not clay guida, and Diego is in for a reality check. Bj left Stevenson on his hands and knees crying into a pool of his own blood where as Diego won a fairly competitive unanimous decision. Bj is on a different level than any of these other lightweights. I'm putting everything I have on Bj. Also, add me to that club you guys are starting.
