Marcus Davis = FAIL.

The "Irish" (WTF?) Hand Grenade was clearly outmatched for the majority of that fight. As has already been pointed out, it makes you wonder how this fight would have been scored had it gone down somewhere other than in Ireland...

Didn't see the fight personally but Davis sure did look like a wuss right there, though his other fights haven't seemed to bad so i dont know what everyones complaining about. As for ^ saying he can whip a fans ass isn't proof of him being tough and is an argument used wayyyyy to often on this forum. The fucking sport is fighting, they do it as a career! Of course he could knock most of them out, most people here are fans with a few amateur fighters.

I just don't understand how anyone here can call Davis a pussy when at least he's got the nuts to step in the ring. Give the guy a break......he got beat. What's the big deal. Even the great Anderson Silva has been beaten. Did any of you calling Davis a pussy see the fight with "Relentless" (I can't think of the guys whole name...Paul something). Davis almost got knocked out with a head kick, and was able to compose himself, come back and win. That took heart!!! The guy just lost a fuckin fight to another guy that could whup any one of our pansie asses posting on this site safely from our homes. You mutha fuckas talk like you could whup Davis or something................dicks.

That one french or polish guy that fought him in England got it right, Marcus Davis ISN'T Irish, wtf. I'm fathers Jamaican, you don't see me running around saying "Pussyclart"-this, "Bombaclart"-that.

Hell someone get me a UFC contract, i'll go by the moniker of the Jamaican Sensation and speak in a thick British accent, its as bloody confusing as Marcus Davis's dilemma to find himself.

Looks like no one appreciated the extra hype for this fight. I guarantee that if we hadn't heard all the "fight of the century" stuff beforehand people would actually like this fight.

Some people don't like that Davis actually used strategy when he promised a slugfest. Others don't like the so called gentleman's agreement to not take the fight to the ground (which never existed, by the way).

It's strange that people choose to complain about one of the two good fights on the card. I guess people just have to find something to whine about no matter what.

Yeah the hype killed the fight. Problem is, it seemed like davis was doing all the hyping! "first one to go for a takedown is a pussy"... "gonna be a fight that people are gonna be talking about when i'm 50" ... "we're gonna stand and bang it out" ... "until I start getting hit, and then I'm gonna run like my IBS is flaring" ...

Some fighters may run when in danger, but I prefer the Quinton Jackson method of covering up and then knocking the dude out. That got me out of my seat. Even though it ended the fight early, it made it one for the books.

I AGREE with the starnes refrence. It's not on the same level, but Davis was clearly turning his back and running here, just like starnes did. Even machida doesn't do that! And starnes never tried to bill his fight with quarry the way davis did this one.

Lytle's too nice. He should have came with the rock hammer.

I don't understand what the big deal is. He avoided trouble and we were able to keep watching a fight. The problem Davis had in this fight, is he treated it too much like a boxing match. Focusing on counterpunches and footwork, which helps win, but doesn't help for fight of his career or w/e he was aiming for.

No one should defend either of these fighters, I thought it was a horrible fight. It's not boxing anymore guys, it's MMA. There is such a thing as ground game, and if you want to be the best you better use it. Next you guys should fight Jorge Grugel, what a joke.

I will be talking about this fight for the rest of my life! Epic action! I generally think people shouldn't hype their own fights to points that couldn't possibly be met, but when I saw this generic 3 rounder with plenty of back pedaling by Davis, I said to myself "Davis, you glorious sonuvabitch, you did it! You really did it! This Tivo is going to be passed down to my grandchildren!"
