Proving once again that Japanese MMA organizations have much better senses of style than their American counterparts, here’s the latest promotional image for DREAM 7 (March 8th; Saitama, Japan; airing free on HDNet). You can download wallpaper images here. DREAM 7 will feature the first round of their featherweight grand prix, which explains the inspiration for the winged fighter shown above. But since I’m a dumb round-eye, I have no idea what those characters on the wing say. Can anybody help?

This poster reminds me of Jin from Tekken 3. I would love to see Jin fight mma. He could take 3 rounds from an M4 and still whoop his grandfather's ass.

The sense of showmanship also includes freak-shows (bono, honman), no steroid testing & occasional dodgy officiating- don't get me wrong, I got into mma via pride when I lived over there, and a lot of Japanese events are entertaining as hell; it's a mixed bag I guess is what I want to say.

I recently got HDNet and my only regret is that I couldnt
get it sooner at my old place. I should have moved just for that.
Instead I wasted hours hunting for grainy Youtube videos.

That DREAM NYE show was amazing so anything they do right after will have to be a letdown.

Why is it that the japanese have better sense of style as well as showmanship than american orgs?
Dont we have a lot more gays than the they do?

Are aerial attacks legal? As long as he doesn't touch the ground, is he allowed to fly beyond the length of the ring or just straight up and down? And does his opponent have sufficient jui jitsu skills with winglocks?
