Since EA MMA is basically EA Strikeforce, are they going to have a feature where when you select your fighter they can decide that they don’t want to actually fight because they’re not under an exclusivity contract so they’re going to go and take fights in Japan instead, leaving you to pick your own replacement for your own originally chosen fighter? Because that would be AWESOME.

Fedor looks like hes taking a break to let out a fart. Undisputed is a pretty good game. Not perfect,but good. If EAs game is better, awesome. Except they don’t have the selection of stars the ufc game has.

I think the UFC game looks better in the above comparison. The shadows are way too harsh in the EA game… I like the UFC’s softer shadows (which are probably much less CPU intensive to render, also). I also think Forrest’s position looks much more realistic, with his head up and his legs closer together. The mat in the UFC game has more texture whereas the EA mat is more of a solid color with almost no texture to it.

I also agree with Blazn, I think the UFC game was an excellent first try, despite its many shortcomings. I don’t expect EA to do much better, if they even do as well. I hope I’m wrong. Don’t hold your breath, peeps.

They have locked out all North american venues for Alistair Overeem. He can only fight over seas. You also can only select him once a year.

The problem with EA for the most part is, they don’t compete, they buyout the rights and eliminate the competition via business decisions, not by actually putting out better titles the other company’s. I’m not bashing every EA title, but for the most part, this is how EA functions.

EA is rushing this game out so they can stuff EA MMA 2010 and 2011 and 2012 and every new version every year like Madden.

I’m not looking forward to EA getting their hands on another sports industry.

You know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I’m going to disagree with the majority here. You can bash the UFC Undisputed 2009, but in all fairness, for the first game on the 360 of it’s type, it is an amazing game. The reversals are smooth and simple, the transitions on the mat feel good, the striking even feels good.

Yes, it’s missing some positions and things that were in the old Xbox games (like shoving people against the cage and teeing off on them).

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing EA’s new game, in fact I welcome the competition. For anyone who’s ever followed the Tony Hawk series, you can see what lack of competition can do to a series (went from amazing to awful). EA put’s out good games, with good features (take Skate 2 for example, highlight reels and replays being saved/stored online). But bashing on the UFC game and saying it’s awful is just outright ignorant. To this day it’s one of my favorite online fighting games.

Gah I mean as many flaws that the UFC game had, I still wish that UFC and EA would make a deal.

It’s would be a shame for a great game to not have the best fighters in the sport.

I mean other then Fedor not many big names are gonna be on this game.

The only problem I have with the picture is that they didnt make Grim dark enough. He looks like he could be a mexican.

Poor technique, his hips are not elevated and feet too far apart. Looks like he’s trying to get a tan under fluorescent lighting.
