Yet another example of how Dana White’s personal style is different than that of other sports team/league owners: Here are the most recent Twitter updates from Dana White (yes, he has a personal account separate from the UFC’s official feed) and WEC general manager Reed Harris. Reed’s could have been written by any middle-aged father, while Dana’s could have been written by any tit-groping frat boy. And while most UFC fans don’t have a problem with that, several sports journalists have called Dana’s immature, hostile persona into question recently.
Tonight’s episode of ESPN E:60 (7 p.m.) delves deeper into the issue — who is this wild-ass motherfucker, and would the UFC be better off with an actual grown-up in charge? If you missed the preview, click here. And check out another excerpt from the show after the jump, where Dana lays into Tito Ortiz for being his first business mistake, and Tito claims he’s fought "some of the best world in the men…and beat ‘em!" Seriously.

Who signs contracts because people call them cowards or to prove they can fight? That's how people end up in shitty contracts.
@ Criminally Negligent, I wasnt aware of Oscar being the president. Just thought he was a promoter and only a promoter. And not to be rude or jump to conclusions, but im sure you dont know much about what goes on behind closed doors and you are just seeing Dana as someone that only goes to Weigh Ins and Interviews to psyche up the fans. Im pretty damn sure he can do whatever the fuck he wants. (i.e. having all the powers of a CEO of a multi million dollar company and being quite independent the whole time).
If Oscar was head of the WBO, WBA, WBC or IBF then his promotional efforts would receive an entirely different type of scrutiny.
I wasn't trying to say he doesn't do a lot. I know he does. He's really good at what he does which is sell tickets. I was just trying to say he's not like the commissioner of baseball so people should lay off him. If anything I was people should cut him some more slack.... and actually I think Oscar del la Hoya is the president of golden boy.
Dana has done tons for the sport, but I really don't think it is that much to ask for someone in his position to not type like a 12 year old girl.
Do I think it looks bad for the sport? No question, YES! But I think Marc Cuban is bad for basketball too. The point is not the one in "charge" of the sport anymore that Bill gates is in charge of computers. He is the head of one company within the sport.
This is the only time I wish I had it though. Living about 30 minutes away from the bar in question I would have drank that bald fuck under the table and found someway to hustle him for a job in the UFC. Replacing Joe Silva would be sweet.
I'd just ask you guys who you want to see fight.
And Dana isnt going to leave the UFC for quite some time. So get over it you haters that dont like him. His business is booming and is going to be HUGE over a couple years. As ive watched since around UFC 31, the one with Chuck Liddell knocking out Kevin Randleman, UFC has gained a tremendous fan base. Along with millions of dollars. Theres no way you can say the UFC would be better with out him.
He is working for a Pro fighting org after all. Its not like he is running a bank or daycare. So what if he acts like an ass? So brings allot of attention to the sport and has done more to make the UFC mainstream than anyone.
Hell Don King KILLED someone... he ran his mouth and acted like an ass all the time. Keep in mind he actually KILLED A MAN... and did time for it.
Dana just acts like an ass and swears allot. I think thats better than murder anyday. Yes I know Don did all that before he became a promoter, but still.
