Just hours before the curtains are set to come up on the UFC’s debut show in the United Arab Emirates, CagePotato.com has learned that the preliminary bout between Paul Taylor and John Gunderson has been pulled from the fight card because Taylor has been deemed medically unfit to compete.
According to sources at the event, Taylor’s removal from the card is due to health complications resulting from his weight cut.
We’ll have more details as they become available.

Kevin Iole from Yahoo! Sports confirms via Twitter post that Taylor is suffering from a severe migraine headache.

which is why all weigh ins should happen no more than three hours before the fight. the benefit of this is two-fold: one, the fighters remain healthy. two, the fighters can't show up for the fight weighing enough to be in the next weight class up.

Migraine can drive you crazy. My unkle had migrains all his life. He was a genius, invented the windows on the shuttle according to legend. (wooptydoo college dude, but paranoid so I'll never be able to verify that) but the migrains was his undoing in the end.
