Ok first off all those people that Fedor beat were at the time that he beat them in their PRIME

-At the time that he fought Heath Herring, the Texas Crazy Horse was thought to be a u[p and comming star that pride was tryingt o build up.

-He smashed through Mark Coleman who had won the Pride Grand prix a couple years back and was also thought to be a good match up for him (Coleman just beat some 205er thats like half his age now)

-He beat Big Nog when they were both ranked up at the top 5 of the HWT rankings (Big Nog is still ranked in the top5 btw)

-He pummeled the most feared striker in the biz CroCop when he was in his prime.

-It took 5 rounds for Couture to beat Sylvia where as it took only 30 seconds for Fedor to beat the former champ

-Arlovski was out in one punch another former champ

-And as for the whole TK thing, he was only awarded the tko because of a cut asshole. He didnt "BEAT" him he won because of a cut. They rematched years later and Fedor CRUSHED him.

What other HWT do you know of off the top of your head that has gone without losing for this long. Honestly thats unheard of in this sport all together much less in a division where any clean punch from any HWT can take you out.

i fucking hate lesnar actually, the only heavyweights i can support are shane carwin and gabriel gonzaga. I just dont see a 230 pound guy as the best heavyweight when you have guys like the 3 i mentioned coming in around 265 going against better talent. seriously though why does everyone ride this guys dick so hard. Carwin and Gonzaga have heavier hands, you cant dispute that there bigger guys with more mass. And Lesnar despite being a tremendous asshole is a very good wrestler on top of being very well conditioned and strong. Fedor would be unstoppable at 205 but at heavyweight hes a dinosaur no matter what you think. the days of non 265ers is over. Skill is less of a factor then size and strength, look at gsp vs anyone. Look at how long matt hughes dominated.

@youngblood - We could also just call it "Japan Rankings." Which is a big part of the reason why I'm always uncertain of how to rank fighters who only compete there.

That being said, the only thing I really take issue with is Yamamoto being ranked #6 in the featherweight Top 10. Two years is a looooong stretch of time in MMA. Such an extensive lay-off compacted with the loss to Fernandes (and all the lumps he took with injuries/concussions/etcetera during that time off) doesn't, in my mind, warrant even being ranked Top 10.

That may sound very "what have you done for me lately," but...well, so what? This IS MMA we're talking about.

A month out from the fight and Fedor takes a wife. Meanwhile Brett Rogers is frantically calling Sams Club HR to get a job as a door greeter after Fedor breaks his soul.

While I suspect Brock could take Fedor out, there's no denying that Fedor was once a very bad man. Is he still? I believe so. Sure, Silvia and Arlovski's careers were plummeting at the rate of gravity when they fought him, but Fedor smashed through both very quickly. I though Andre was doing well until he got caught, but that's exactly what Fedor does. He picks his shots and makes 'em count, to devastating effect. He's incredibly durable and can end a fight in a blink in any number of ways. Creativity + talent + physical gifts = a very dangerous fighter.

I'll be shocked if Brett beats Fedor. Everything about the guy just seems tailor-made for the Last Emperor. He's not even watching tape on him because he's afraid he'll "get in his head." Comical. If you're afraid to watch tape on somebody, he's already in your head, dude.
