Am I the only one who thinks Fedor has been looking irritated and all around tense in the interviews leading up to this fight? Just look at his eyes in the clip above. He’s not his normal mellow self. But rather than being unfocused and nervous, I think it’s because he’s just got this fiery, hellbent desire not to drop another fight. Looks like he’s been training a lot harder for this one than his last fights judging from the open workout-clips.

Fedor IS Buddha – at least in mma. He’s amazingly consistent throughout all these years in how he conducts himself – does he REALLY not care about Zuffa buying Strikeforce – he says it’s not his care, he just fights. I … believe him! Or I hope to anyway, and not have my ideals that there are beautiful people int he world who are honest not crushed, giving rise to cynicism.

Fedor was as good as everyone said… he dominated everyone. Maybe his time off from top competition and his undefeated record caused him to become complacent. Maybe those losses were exactly what he needed to get motivation and step it up. Time will tell.
