1.
Georges St. Pierre
How exactly does anyone at 170 expect to beat this guy? Even in a superfight with BJ Penn, GSP's remarkable wrestling, conditioning, and game-planning would most likely win the day. No more Matt Serra-like mistakes — GSP won't be giving up his belt for a long, long time.
2.
Jon Fitch
3.
Jake Shields
Choking out a top-ten opponent in 63 seconds? That’s straight-up Fedor-esque. Jake Shields might be the most underrated fighter in MMA right now. Unfortunately, he’s already cleaned out EliteXC’s weak welterweight division, so he’ll have to take drastic measures — like making a run for the middleweight title as well — in order to get his due respect.
4.
Thiago Alves
Alves at #4 may seem high, but he’s undoubtedly third in the UFC’s 6. 170-pound pecking order after wasting two other top competitors, and he’s two wins away from becoming champion. His next match against Diego Sanchez is very much a career-defining fight.
5.
Josh Koscheck
6.
Diego Sanchez
7.
Matt Hughes
It breaks my heart to have Hughes below Koscheck and Sanchez, but he's the classic old dog who can't learn new tricks. Without a sharp striking game, he'll continue to be rocked by younger, more well-rounded welterweights. Kicking Matt Serra's ass and then retiring is probably the best-case scenario.
8.
Carlos Condit
9.
Hayato Sakurai
10.
Nick Thompson
Maybe next time without the neckbeard?

Seriously why is Koscheck up here? Who has he fought or what has he done to deserve a spot on this list? Saw the reruns of TUF 1 the other day, what a piece of shit he is. Further more he already got beat the fuck down by the champ. When he fights and beats at least two or more CREDIBLE fighters then he should get a spot on the list. But really he is only a top twenty fighter

GSP #1- beast
Fitch #2 -beast
Shields #3- kick the Shaw brothers in the nuts and get the fuck out of elitexc. your so much better than that. this is the guy who made sanchez and fitch tap (i think).
Alves #4 -bout right. probably better than shields but we dont know
Josh #5 - bout right
Diego #6 - alves will kill him
Hughes #7 - the thing i love about hughes is his how is such a gentleman. Oh u want examples? 1. reaction to GSP loss. 2. calling ms. couture a bitch 3. he never complains after a loss. Well maybe not a gentleman but at least he has the ability to change his fighting style to meet new challanges.
Carlos Condit #8 - wow he looks impressive. i wonder why he has to stay in the WEC? oh that's right, he's not good enough
Sakurai #9 - biggest recent win is over jens pulver. Wait Jens Pulver? you're a fucking welterwieght bro. if you were in the UFC you would be taking my order in under a year. "I said a pint not a cup"
Goat #10 - i guess. maybe?
Synopsis: where's Karo? other than that a pretty fair list.

@none

Are you serious about Hughes? CP puts it perfectly with, "he’s the classic old dog who can’t learn new tricks." But you're serious about him adapting to new styles? Who are you kidding?
